JOIN US:

40-day Spiritual Glow Up Challenge for Lent:

1. Meditate for at least 10 minutes each day to center yourself and connect with your inner spirit.
2. Spend alone time with God through prayer or quiet reflection, allowing space for personal dialogue and connection.
3. Engage in Bible study for 20-30 minutes daily, exploring scriptures that resonate with you or topics you wish to deepen your understanding of.
4. Incorporate physical movement into your routine, whether it's through exercise, yoga, or simply going for a walk to appreciate the beauty of nature.
5. Limit your time on social media to create more space for spiritual growth and meaningful connections with others.
6. Attend three events at the Wesley Center, such as worship services, spiritual workshops, or community gatherings, to foster fellowship and enrich your faith journey.

By committing to these practices over the Lenten period, you can cultivate a deeper sense of spirituality, strengthen your relationship with God, and experience personal growth and transformation.

Admist a turbulent upbringing, she weathered the storms of an adulthood marked by the hardship and adversity. Raised by her grandmother and step grandfather, the hands that should have shielded her instead inflicted pain. A teenage pregnancy, mirroring the cycles of generational curses, seemed to cement her destiny in the unforgiven grip of poverty. Yet, a glimmer of hope emerged when her cheer coach Dawn, orchestrated a pivotal turn for her.

Dawn not only helps her grasp a full College scholarship to and unexpected academic haven but also introduced her to a transformative man name Jesus. In the presence of newfound faith. Her life underwent a metamorphosis. The judgments of the streets and the echoes of past struggles lost their power. Confidence replaced self- doubt, and a river of peace flowed through her soul. Now, in her in her early thirties, she reflects on the divine woven plan before her existence, acknowledging that true freedom is not merely escaping circumstances but finding purpose beyond them.

Scripture that echoes in her heart: “For I know the plans I have for you, declares the lord, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope” (Jeremiah 29:11). With Gratitude, she embraces the truth that in Jesus, she found the ultimate freed that transcends the shackles of the past, paving the way for a future defined by grace and purpose. She is True Freedom. – Author Ja’Lyn Betts
