This decision comes alongside a reduction in force affecting clinical staff, as well as new restrictions that prevent community health clinics—specifically Community of Hope, Mary’s Center, and Unity clinics—from scheduling labor inductions and C-sections at the hospital.

The National Nurses Organizing Committee/National Nurses United (NNOC/NNU), which represents more than 2,200 registered nurses at MWHC, is actively campaigning to reverse these cuts. We are calling on our DC JWJ network to stand in solidarity with them.
