Parents’ Affirmation

Because you are a heritage and a reward from the Lord (Psalm 127:3), I acknowledge my God-given assignment to raise, guide, and train you in the way you should go (Proverbs 22:6).

I will bring you up in the discipline, correction, and instruction of the Lord (Ephesians 6:4). I will teach you God’s Word, model His ways, pray for you, and encourage you to become all that God has called you to be.

I will cover you with love all the days of my life, knowing that love covers a multitude of sins (1 Peter 4:8).

I will speak life over you, believe God for you, and continually commit you into His hands. I declare that you belong to the Lord, and I trust Him to order your steps, protect your purpose, and guide your future.

You are my heritage. You are my reward. You are a gift from God, and I will faithfully steward the assignment He has given me as your parent.

An Audience of One

Galatians 1:10 "For do I now persuade men, or God? or do I seek to please men? for if I yet pleased men, I should not be the servant of Christ."

In life, people's expectations, wants, desires, and demands are so varied that you will never be able to please or satisfy everyone. I have learned that trying to live for everyone's approval will leave you frustrated and exhausted.

So, I have made a decision: I will perform for an audience of One…God.

When my heart is right before Him, I don't have to worry about who applauds, who criticizes, who understands, or who approves. My goal is not to please people; my goal is to please God.

Live for the One who matters most.

THIS IS THE IMPORTANCE OF REST.

"I don't want to die working."

We weren't created to be consumed by endless striving. God calls us to work faithfully, but He also calls us to rest.

We spend so much time building careers, chasing goals, and checking off tasks, but are we making room for what matters most? Is God our priority, or are we striving for vain things?

God's design includes both work and rest. When we embrace His rhythm, we discover peace, purpose, and renewed strength.

What occupies your mind shapes how you walk through life. 💭

So often, the greatest battles we face begin in our thoughts. But God’s Word reminds us that when our minds are stayed on Him, He will keep us in perfect peace. (Isaiah 26:3-4)

Today, take a moment to ask yourself: “Are my thoughts bringing me closer to God or creating distance from His promises?”

Release the fear. Release the doubt. Fix your mind on Him. 🤍

Isaiah 26:3-4

3)“Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee.

4) Trust ye in the LORD for ever: for in the LORD JEHOVAH is everlasting strength:”

Your thoughts have power. 💭

What are you rehearsing today — your fears or God’s promises?

Isaiah 26:3 reminds us that true peace comes when our minds are fixed on Him. Don’t allow your thoughts to become the obstacle standing between you and what God has for you.

Keep your focus on God. Trust His timing. Walk in His promises. ✨

LIFE IS NOT THE PROBLEM!

But even when situations, circumstances, and people are, we are to put our hope, eyes, and trust on the King!

Instead of focusing on the negative, refocus your eyes on the grace, mercy, and love the Lord provides. It's not easy, but the Lord is always present.

Philippians 4:6-9 KJV
[6] Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. [7] And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. Life Is Not the Problem

" The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly." — John 10:10

"It's not life that lets us down; it's people and circumstances that sometimes do. Life is filled with grace, mercy, and the opportunity for forgiveness. As Jesus said, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life' (John 14:6).

Life itself is not bad. More often, it's the choices we make—and sometimes the relationships we attach ourselves to—that shape our experiences. While people can disappoint us, God's grace remains constant, reminding us that even in brokenness, there is hope, healing, and a path forward.

When disappointment comes, don't blame the gift of life that God has given. Instead, look to Christ, who is Life itself. He offers grace where there is guilt, mercy where there is pain, and hope where there seems to be none. As we surrender our choices to Him and seek His wisdom in our relationships, we discover the abundant life He promised.

The church is the place where we, as born-again, baptized believers, come together to fellowship, be refueled, and receive impartation. Yes, we should all leave the four walls of the church to live for Christ, bear witness to His goodness, and help bring others into the Kingdom.

At the same time, let's not minimize the importance of gathering together. Corporate worship, biblical teaching, fellowship, accountability, and encouragement are all part of God's design for His people. We are strengthened when we come together so that we can be more effective when we go out into the world to represent Him.

Favor ≠ Favorite

"Can a fair God have favorites?"

This is a question we often ask ourselves when we see someone else's blessings or favor, or when we feel like God gives or sees us less.

The truth is, favor does not mean favorite.

Take David, Joseph, and Abraham for example. Each of them had the favor of God, but none of it came without sacrifice, burdens, or pain. Joseph was sold into slavery. David spent years running from a king. Abraham left everything familiar without knowing where God was leading him.

God's favor isn't blessing without responsibility. It isn't promotion without process. It isn't purpose without sacrifice.

So the next time you look at someone and think, "They have God's favor," ask yourself:

Are you willing to carry what their favor cost?
