If HB 37 is passed, formerly incarcerated women can benefit from services such as career counseling, resume assistance, expungement workshops and legal assistance, and much more. When we invest in restoring the lives of formerly incarcerated women; our economy becomes stronger, crime rates are reduced, and families are healed. Your support is necessary to show Maryland state legislators that this bill will help formerly incarcerated women in Maryland integrate back into society.

Our June 14th event features a compelling conversation with Rev. HH Leonard and a targeted focus on her book: “Rosa Parks Beyond the Bus: Life, Lessons, and Leadership.” This book is “a collection of inspiring and instructive memories compiled from the decade that Mrs. Parks was a guest in author H. H. Leonard’s Washington, DC home.

Then, on June 21st, join SJM member aNetha Christmas, J.D., who will ignite our spirit with her energetic presentation of “The Constitutional Christian”. In her magnanimous way, she will challenge us to learn more about our God given rights embedded in the U.S. Constitution.
