We've been so busy, busy busy!! We are about 30 missionary couples from both missionary sites of Martins Cove and Sixth Crossing. We have removed debris, cleared brush, assembled, repaired, rebuilt and delivered hundreds of handcarts to the various trekking campgrounds We have repaired a water truck, side by sides, a grader and a tractor. We have repaired flood lights, sprayed chemicals for mosquitoes and noxious weeds and trimmed trees. We have built showers, a laundry room, bathrooms and a full kitchen. We have built furniture, signs, welded flag holders, sewn flags and built displays. We have restored internet, repaired leaky roofs and leaky plumbing. We have cleaned and painted vault toilets and porta potties, scrapped and repainted benches, picnic tables and mowed the camping areas. We have helped the neighbor shear sheep and install a culvert pipe. We have worked in wind, rain and snow storms. We have gone on two 6 mile practice treks. We have made spread sheets including work assignments and scheduling. We have been well trained and we are ready.
Monday, the first of our 294 treks comprised of almost 22,000 people will start. There will be rain, sleet and snow that week and will guide them through it along the trails. We're all sooooo excited to finally have the youth here and have the opportunity to impact their lives and experience the many divine appoitnments that Heavenly Father has in store.

Some of the highlights for the past week. Sister Dorroh doing pest control, making signs and being thr onsite Apple tech. Elder Dorroh making a display table for the visitors center, helping a neighbor shear sheep, doing plumbing in the new area of the “Barn” and last but not least being the IT guy and finally getting the two Missionary Sites up and running with Wifi. Elder Dorroh finally saw a moose.
The feeling here is incredible, spiritual and peaceful. Everyone working together serving the Lord.

Wow, how time is flying, sorry we haven't posted sooner!! We've been so busy with all the projects and training here at Sixth Crossing. The site has been closed since COVID, so there is lots to do as we're expecting over 2,500 trekkers this season.
The missionaries we're serving with are ALL so amazing. Everyone is kind and hard working. Acts of silent service abound! We've all had our cement "patio" shovelled along with our car windshields cleared off when we had snow a few days ago.
Elder Dorroh has been super busy since he is a renaissance man🥰 His IT ability has been in high demand to get internet at both the Martin;s Cove and Sixth Crossing up and more reliable. He's also been assigned a couple special woodworking projects.
I've been painting and helping Elder Dorroh when he needs it. WIldlife count to date: Bunnies, Moose, Deer, Antelope, Wild Horses, Herrons, Beaver and Sis. Dorroh found a tick...eeeeek!
We've hiked a couple times to look at monuments and landmarks the pioneers used travel across the plains. Today we trekked ( pulling handcarts) to Martin's Cove. It was 6.3 miles and quite an enlightening experience....both physically and spiritually.

All week has been full of classes to help us be well equipped successful missionaries. We’ve had a couple great devotionals on The Character of Christ and Developing Christ-like attributes. The folks we’ll be serving with are exceptional and we already feel like family🥰. Last night all 130 senior missionaries attended the temple. Tomorrow we’re off to Wyoming!! Yeeeee hawww

Monday-We got our missionary name tags. Yaay! There are over 120 senior missionaries here with us. We are the only missionary group of this size being taught anywhere in the world on this day!! 36 of these are going to the Mormon Historical Trail sites in Wyoming. All of them have been joyful and full of fun.
We were asked to stand and give introductions with this the info;
Name (Elder and Sister):
Home:
Mission area:
The final question we were asked was “Why did you decide to serve?”
The number one answer usually spoken tearfully was “To serve God and set an example for our children and grand children” Also expressions of gratitude and blessings for family.
One of our senior missionaries had a dream where God told him to sell all his properties and go on a mission. He did and is here!! Another man had a stroke while preparing to serve, losing his ability to speak. God healed him and he is here to serve his mission.
So much love for God and people. So much joy, so much beauty. I have cried numerous times, we are so blessed. ❤️
Some unexpected treats, we attended a performance by a 9 man a ca****la group called Vocal Pointe, which was astounding. We walked out to find it snowing!

What a whirlwind weekend!! Friday evening we were set apart for our mission calling, shot back home to finish up packing up the truck and travel trailer ( Yes, we still forgot stuff :)) and Saturday headed out! We drove to Fallon, Nevada and stayed the night at an Alpaca Farm...so cool. We even got some hands on with the lil cuties. Then back on the road to the MTC, Missionary Training Center, located in Provo, Utah.

It’s real now. We are so excited. Friday we were set apart by President Brown. We’re now Elder and Sister Dorroh.
We were asked what it means to be “set apart”
When the Bible calls something holy, it is not speaking of purity or righteousness. Rather, it is someone “set apart or separated” from everything else in order to do a job.
In Acts 6:1-6 Stephen and 6 others are set apart to take care of the widows.
In Acts 13:2-3 Barnabas and Saul were set apart for missionary work.
In our case we were set apart to serve in Wyoming as missionaries.
The action of setting an individual apart involves divine power, promise and holiness through the laying on of hands. It is an outpouring of the spirit. The inspiration attending this ordinance deepens our understanding, elevates our spirit, reminds us of our possibilities and motivates us to a higher, richer quality of life through Jesus Christ.
Stuffing the last of our stuff into our travel trailer and hitting the road Wyoming or bust!
