SERVE TEAM SHOUTOUT 😁👏
This is Eric & Jacob and they serve as a father-son duo on the parking team!

Why do you serve?
Eric - With families and new people coming in, sometimes it can be a split-second decision whether they come back to a church. If they can’t find parking or don’t feel safe and comfortable, they may not come back. I serve because I want families to feel comfortable and welcomed from the moment they arrive.

Jacob- I want to do something for the church that makes a difference and impacts people.

What’s your favorite thing about serving on the parking team?
Eric - I don’t mind being outside in the Florida heat and doing the things most people don’t want to do. I don’t mind breaking a sweat for Jesus! Sometimes the things we do may not seem significant, but they can make a big difference for someone.

Jacob- I get to be outside, welcome people in, and help make their first experience a good one. I also get to do it with my dad.

What would you say to someone who is thinking of jumping on a Serve Team?
Eric - Just jump in and see what it’s like. Test the waters! Sometimes people think serving means you have to give up everything, but you don’t. Start small, find what works for you, and even bring your kids along.

Jacob- Jump in and find something you’re good at and enjoy doing. There’s a place for you to serve.

Following the recent fires, there are families in our community who are facing unimaginable loss and uncertainty. As a church, we want to come alongside them in every way we can.

Here are three ways you can help:

1. Pray for the families affected, for those who have lost their homes and belongings, and for everyone helping in the aftermath.
