When the Work Day Is Over

What a special message this morning from 1 Corinthians 15:50–58, reminding us to be “stedfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord” because our labor in the Lord is never in vain.

Pastor Rick made that truth especially meaningful by sharing some of the history of our church. From meeting in his barn, to the parts house, to the church God has blessed us with today—none of it happened without people willing to roll up their sleeves and work.

Pastor Rick was a plumber by trade, and throughout Trinity’s history there have always been faithful men and women willing to use whatever gifts, talents, and abilities God gave them to help build His church.

Some preached. Some taught. Some built. Some repaired. Some cleaned. Some gave. Some prayed. And many simply saw something that needed to be done and got to work.

What a legacy—and what a reminder for us today that there is still work to do.

One day our work here will be finished, but until then:

“Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye stedfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord…forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord.”
— 1 Corinthians 15:58 KJV

Thankful for those who rolled up their sleeves before us, thankful for those serving alongside us today, and praying we remain just as faithful for the generations coming behind us.

Same work. Higher purpose.

Declare it today: “As for me and my house, we will serve the LORD.”

No matter what this day brings or what changes around us, our commitment remains the same.

What a special day at Trinity, we had the incredible opportunity to see the first American Bible up close while Steve Skelton shared its fascinating history. Evangelist Dave Kistler then brought a powerful message from Psalm 11.

The message reminded us that regardless of what is happening around us, God is still on His throne.

He sits.
He sees.
He sorts it in His timing.
He sends judgment in His time.

“The LORD is in his holy temple, the LORD’s throne is in heaven: his eyes behold…” — Psalm 11:4 KJV

And we were challenged to:

Pray
Participate
Reach the world of the lost
Prepare for blessing

What a memorable day of faith, history, and a reminder of God’s sovereignty. Thank you to Evangelist Dave Kistler and Steve Skelton for being part of this special Hope on the Hill service!
