PREACH THE WORD.

There will always be pressure to soften the message, avoid difficult truths, or tell people what they want to hear.

Scripture tells us something different.
In 2 Timothy 4:2–4, Paul charges Timothy to “preach the word”—to be ready in season and out of season, and to correct, rebuke, and encourage with patience and careful instruction.

Why?
Because a time comes when people will not tolerate sound teaching. Instead, they will seek teachers who tell them what their “itching ears” want to hear. They will turn away from truth and toward things that are easier to accept.

That warning is just as important for the Church today.

At Highlands Community Church, we believe God's Word is not something we need to improve, reinvent, or make more acceptable.

We simply need to faithfully teach it, believe it, and live it.

“Preach the word; be ready in season and out of season…”
