God of justice, dignity, and hope,
On this Labor Day, we give thanks for all whose work strengthens our communities and cares for our neighbors—those whose labor is seen and unseen, paid and unpaid, celebrated and too often overlooked.
Bless those who work with their hands, minds, hearts, and voices. Bless those who teach, heal, build, serve, create, grow, protect, clean, repair, transport, organize, and care for others.
May every person be treated with dignity. May workers receive fair wages, safe conditions, meaningful opportunity, and the respect their labor deserves. Give courage to those who speak for justice, wisdom to those who lead, and compassion to all who make decisions affecting the lives of others.
Remember those seeking work, those unable to work, those carrying too many burdens, and those whose labor has never been fully valued. Strengthen us to build communities where no one is disposable, everyone has enough, and each person has the opportunity to flourish.
May our work serve the common good, our rest renew us, and our lives reflect Your love, justice, and peace.
