"The month of Ramadan has come to you. It is a blessed month. Allah has made it obligatory on you to fast during this month. The gates of heaven are opened in this month and the gates of hell are closed and the devils are chained. In this month there is a night that is better than one thousand months. Whosoever is deprived of its blessings is indeed deprived. (An-Nasa’i)"

Dear Respected Community Members,
Bi'ithnillah the UIALC welcomes the blessed month on Tuesday, April 13th, 2021 and Taraweeh prayers will start on Monday, April 12th, 2021.
Bi'ithnillah Isha prayers will begin promptly at 9:30 pm on Monday evening. The screening process will take place as usual. Doors will open at 9 pm every evening and will remain open until 9:25 pm. After this, they will be locked. Once the doors close, they will not open again until the end of Isha prayers and then will be locked again as soon as the Iqamah for Taraweeh is announced. Please review the screening processes listed below. Do not forget your masks or your prayer rug.
Bi'ithnillah, Shaykh Yahya will perform 8 Rakaahs of Taraweeh each night. Khatamul Qur'an will be on the 29th of Ramadan, Bi'ithnillah
The additional guidelines for Taraweeh prayers are as follows:
It is our community's responsibility to keep Shaykh Yahya safe and healthy.
a. There will be no hugging or shaking hands with the Shaykh. You may greet him with a 6 feet distance.
b, Chairs have been placed in the front row. These chairs are not to be moved and the line will start behind these chairs.
c. If you want to join in the Maghrib congregational prayer, you must bring your own dates and water to break your fast. You must exit the masjid immediately after the Maghrib salah is completed. You will not be permitted to have iftar at the masjid with Shaykh Yahya or Br. Fuad.
d. The check-in process will be the same for Taraweeh as is for Jumuah prayers.
e. Doors will open around 9 pm and will be locked as soon as the Isha athaan is called. Doors will reopen after the first 4 rakaah of fard of Isha are completed for 5 minutes only to allow members to come into the masjid. If you exit at any time during the evening, you will not be permitted back into the masjid.
f. Please do not knock. We are all in salaah and the doors will not be opened during the designated time.
g. Please supply your own water bottles.
h. You must exit the masjid right after Taraweeh has finished. Do not linger in the masjid.
