The berries have been collected (44 quarts!). Eight pints of heavy cream are waiting to be whipped. Ovens all over Lancaster are full of shortbread, the Rota Springs ice cream is sleeping in the freezer, the lemonade is chilling, and the iced tea is on for a cold overnight brew. There will also be hot dogs, but it's best you don't know how those are made.

Don't miss all these goodies! Plus live music from the Free Range Pickers.

The Memorial Garden project needs your help!

As we wind down our church year, it's comforting to know that the grounds are still available as a sanctuary during the summer. Come by to have coffee with a friend in the morning, at lunchtime to soak up some sun, or at twilight to look for fireflies and bats. The fire pit can be reserved and used by community members (contact Win Clark).

This year, the fire pit is surrounded by our wildflower meadow PLUS our new Memorial Garden, consisting entirely of native pollinators. We would love a few more people to "buy" a plant or make a donation in memory of a loved one, to really fill in the beds.

This year’s first paper flower installation is complete. ❤️🌸 Inspired by our expanding wildflower meadow on the church green! And beginning on Thursday afternoons in September, we will start working toward our first large-scale crepe paper flower exhibit for next June 2027. Anyone who would like to explore this art form with us is welcome to come learn!

The beach at Camp Wellville, where our picnic is tomorrow! Our office admin's son, Willard, is a sommelier of sorts for New England lakes. He tested the water today and deemed it "most excellent." He recommends pairing it with hot dogs, potato salad and iced tea.
