🙏 Pray for our missionary of the week, Stephen Cox.

“To be Thai is to be Buddhist.” Stephen Cox heard that phrase often after moving to Northern Thailand, where less than 1 percent of the population is evangelical. Many Thai believers told him they had never heard the gospel growing up.

Stephen and his IMB team wanted to change that. Since nearly everyone in Thailand uses social media, they launched a digital outreach campaign. They trained Thai believers to respond to online inquiries and follow up in person. The first ad simply asked, “How can we pray for you?”

Then came national tragedies—flooding in Chiang Mai and a deadly school bus fire in Bangkok. In response, they created ads that acknowledged brokenness in the world and pointed people to the gospel and disaster relief. One featured the testimony of a Thai believer. The campaign reached 980,000 people. More than 70,000 watched the full testimony, and more than 500 reached out for follow-up.

PRAY for Stephen and his team as they make Jesus known across Thailand.
