The Christian Education kickoff for the academic year for children and youth is NEXT Sunday, September 13! After our young disciples introduce Ms. Rivera from the Families In Transition program and present her with our monetary donations for the program, the children will go to their classrooms.

On October 18, Holy Trinity members will gather with others in the community for the Lancaster CROP Hunger Walk to fight hunger both here and around the world. We need walkers and sponsors. Be sure to join us on September 13th for the Sunday Forum at 11 a.m. in Fondersmith Auditorium when Ms. Lisette Rivera, the Coordinator for the Families in Transition Program, will make a presentation about the FIT program. She will speak to us about how the Families in Transition Program keeps children and youth struggling with homelessness stay in school and what we can do to help. We will also present her with the check of monetary donations we've collected for the "FIT" program.

Holy Trinity is collecting a special offering to benefit the School District of Lancaster's Families in Transition program or "FIT". The FIT program helps remove barriers for students who are experiencing homelessness. And FIT helps keep these children and youth in school by supplying them with school supplies, transportation, personal care items, and some clothing. We are collecting Monetary Donations for them NOW through Sunday, September 6th. Please write "FIT" in the memo section of your checks. If you wish to give cash, please, put it in an envelope marked "FIT." Your generous monetary donations will help children and youth experiencing homelessness attend school in the School District of Lancaster!

Holy Trinity's International Ministries Committee sends a heartfelt thank you to everyone who contributed personal care kits to be given to Lutheran World Relief. We received 60 kits and will deliver them to the LWR Mission Central Warehouse at Mechanicsburg. We will include a check from the committee to cover the cost of distributing them around the world. Thank you!
