Beautiful day for a Saturday school fun day at St. Paul in Burton today! Pastor Laura kicked things off with the kids, teaching them where to find prayers in their Bibles & hymnals and everyone practiced centering prayer together. Everyone got to to sing, play outside, paint, do felt board Bible stories, have fun snacks & treats and more! Thank you to Cathy Nix for organizing and leading it all, our volunteers for helping make it a success, and to those who donated delicious baked goods for all to enjoy! And thank you especially to our kiddos for making it a fun day!

Thank you to the confirmation youth for collecting food for the food pantry and thank you to everyone who donated. The youth were able to go to the pantry on Wednesday, 4.15, to bring all the food they collected and learn more about how the pantry works and who it serves. The youth asked a lot of good questions. Linda was impressed by the amount we collected. It came to 453 pounds! As part of their confirmation education, our confirmands attended a Confirmation Jubilee with other confirmands in the area in October in Dodgeville. Here they learned about the problem of hunger in our area.

In response to that, the confirmands will be collecting food Easter weekend and the following weekend to be donated to the food pantry. They will bring it to the pantry and help stock the shelves during confirmation class on April 15th.

Please bring your donations to church the next two weekends and give the youth lots of food to haul! The pantry will accept all you donate, but has provided us with the following list of their current greatest needs:

Pancake mix
Syrup
Instant oatmeal
Pork n beans
Tuna
Peanut butter
Grape jelly
Cream of mushroom soup
Tomato soup
Mandarin oranges
Pineapple
Peas
Toilet paper
Shampoo
