🔥 LAST NIGHT: NIGHT 4 THE TWO COVENANTS part 2

Last night, we continued our powerful study on the Two Covenants and uncovered an important truth about the law that was nailed to the cross!

📖 Colossians 2:14–17 teaches us about the handwriting of ordinances that was against us and was nailed to the cross. But what exactly was nailed to the cross?

We examined Colossians 2:16–17, a passage often misinterpreted as saying that God’s seventh-day Sabbath was abolished.

Through examining the context and the Greek wording, we discussed how Paul was referring to the ceremonial observances associated with the Mosaic law, including feast days, new moons, and ceremonial sabbaths, not the seventh-day Sabbath established in God’s Ten Commandments.

BUT THE STUDY DOESN’T STOP THERE! 🔥

What happened to God’s law, the Ten Commandments after Jesus died on the cross? Was God’s law abolished, or does it still stand?

FALL SEMINAR 2026 | NIGHT 3 RECAP — THE TWO COVENANTS part II

Most people have only heard of one covenant, but did you know the Bible discusses two covenants: the Tables of the Covenant and the Book of the Covenant?

Last night, we also began examining the Book of the Covenant, commonly associated with the Mosaic Law.

Unlike the Ten Commandments, which God wrote with His own finger on tables of stone, Moses wrote the words of the law in a book. Exodus 24:4 says, “And Moses wrote all the words of the LORD.”

These laws included instructions, ordinances, and regulations given to Israel through Moses. They served a specific purpose within the covenant God established with His people.

Join us as we continue studying the Scriptures for ourselves. Don’t rely on tradition or assumptions let the Bible explain the Bible!

FALL SEMINAR 2026 | NIGHT 3 RECAP — THE TWO COVENANTS

Most people have only heard of one covenant, but did you know the Bible discusses two covenants: the Tables of the Covenant and the Book of the Covenant?

Last night, we began exploring the difference between the two, starting with the Tables of the Covenant, also known as the Ten Commandments.

Did you know that God Himself wrote the Ten Commandments with His own finger? ✍🏽 Exodus 31:18 tells us that the tables of stone were written by the finger of God. These were not commandments created by man, but laws given directly by God Himself.

God’s law is not something we should take lightly, ignore, or treat as optional. The Bible calls it the law of liberty (James 1:25). God’s law reveals His standard of righteousness, and Deuteronomy 4:2 warns us not to add to His Word or take away from it.

If God took the time to write His commandments with His own finger, shouldn’t we take the time to understand and obey them?

Who Will Be Judged? | Ezekiel 9:1–6

In Ezekiel 9, God commanded that a mark be placed on the foreheads of those who sighed and cried over the abominations taking place around them.

The message was clear: God was making a distinction between those who grieved over sin and those who had become comfortable with it.

This raises an important question for us today: Have we become so accustomed to the things God calls sin that they no longer trouble us?

Judgment begins with the house of God. It’s not just about recognizing sin in others, but examining our own hearts and whether we truly stand for God’s Word.
