✠✠✠ اجتماع أخوية السيدة العذراء القديسة مريم يوم الخميس 15 شرين الأول، 2026.
✠ تم بنعمة الرب اجتماع أخوية السيدة العذراء القديسة مريم للسيدات في كنيسة القديسة هيلانة للسريان الأرثوذكس في لانكاستر – كاليفورنيا يوم الخميس 15 شرين الأول، 2026. الساعة 6:30 مساءا.
✠ بدأ الإجتماع بصلاة تأملية للسيدة الفاضلة تمام عازر (أم قيس) ثم صلى الجميع الصلاة الربانية والسلام عليك يا مريم.
✠ قدم كاهن الرعية الأب بسام دروج تفسير لبعض الآيات من رسالة مار بولس الرسول إلى أهل رومية الإصحاح الخامس التي تتحدث عن عمل الفداء والتبرير بالإيمان بالسيد المسيح الذي به صار لنا سلام مع الله، كما تأمل بمحبة المسيح الفائقة في الآيات (رو5: 6- 11) إذ ونحن ضعفاء وفجار وخطاة وأعداء مات المسيح حبا بنا لأجل خلاصنا.
✠ رتل الأخوات بعض التراتيل المناسبة لموضوع الإجتماع لهذا اليوم وهي: حنانك يارب الأكوان ويسوع بهجة النفوس.
✠ تم طرح بعض الأسئلة الدينية الخاصة بصفات الله وكيف أتخذه صديقا لي في الحياة كمقدمة للموضوع الرئيسي وكان التجاوب والتفاعل رائعا من الجميع.
✠ كان الموضوع الرئيسي اليوم بعنوان (الله صديقي)، حيث تحدّث الأب بسام دروج عن بعض صفات الله التي تساعدنا على أن نتعرّف إليه بصورة أعمق، وأن نكتشف عظمة محبته وقربه منا.
وأوضح الأب بسام أن علاقتنا مع الله لا ينبغي أن تقوم فقط على الخوف من العقاب أو على أداء الواجبات والفرائض، بل على المحبة والصداقة والقرب والثقة. فالله الذي نعبده هو إله محب، ورحيم، وصالح، وأمين، وطويل الأناة، لا يبتعد عن الإنسان عندما يخطئ، بل يدعوه دائمًا إلى التوبة والرجوع إليه.
وعندما نتعرّف إلى صفات الله، نكتشف أن لدينا إلهًا يريد أن تكون لنا معه علاقة شخصية وحقيقية، وأن نقترب منه ونشاركه أفراحنا وتعبنا ومخاوفنا واحتياجاتنا، ونسلّم له حياتنا بثقة، لأننا نعرف أنه يحبنا ويهتم بنا.
كما تم التأكيد على أن الصداقة مع الله ليست مجرد فكرة أو كلمة نقولها، بل هي علاقة تُبنى يومًا بعد يوم من خلال الصلاة، وقراءة كلمة الله، والتوبة، والتناول من جسد الرب ودمه، والعيش بحسب وصاياه. وكلما اقتربنا منه وتعرّفنا إليه، ازداد حبنا له، وأصبح حضور الله في حياتنا مصدر سلام وفرح وقوة.
✠ كان النشاط اليوم هو بعض المسابقة والأسئلة الدينية والترفيهية، وقد وزعت الجوائز على الفائزين وهي تقدمة من (السيدة فيرزو عبد الحي) ربنا يباركها ويعوض عليها بالصحة والعافية.
✠ اختتم الإجتماع بصلاة قانون الإيمان.
✠ بعدها توجه الجميع إلى الصالة لتناول بعد الضيافات والحلويات وهي تقدمة من (السيدة منى كساب)، ربنا يبارك حياتها ويعوض عليهم بالصحة والعافية.
✠✠✠ Meeting of the Ladies’ Sisterhood of the Blessed Virgin Mary – Thursday, October 15, 2026
✠ By the grace of the Lord, the meeting of the Ladies’ Sisterhood of the Blessed Virgin Mary was held at St. Helena Syriac Orthodox Church in Lancaster, California, on Thursday, October 15, 2026, at 6:30 PM.
✠ The meeting began with a reflective prayer led by Mrs. Tamam Azar (Um Qais), followed by the Lord’s Prayer and the Hail Mary.
✠ The parish priest, Rev. Fr. Bassam Darrouj, presented an explanation of selected verses from St. Paul’s Epistle to the Romans, Chapter 5, which speak about the work of redemption and justification through faith in our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have peace with God. He also reflected on the immeasurable love of Christ expressed in Romans 5:6–11: while we were weak, ungodly, sinners, and enemies, Christ died for us out of His great love for our salvation.
✠ The sisters sang several hymns appropriate to the theme of the meeting.
✠ Several religious questions were presented concerning the attributes of God and how we can make Him our friend in our daily lives as an introduction to the main topic. The participation and interaction of everyone were wonderful.
✠ The main topic of the meeting was entitled “God Is My Friend.” Fr. Bassam Darrouj spoke about some of God’s attributes that help us know Him more deeply and discover the greatness of His love and His closeness to us.
Fr. Bassam explained that our relationship with God should not be based only on fear of punishment or on fulfilling duties and religious obligations, but rather on love, friendship, closeness, and trust. The God whom we worship is a loving, merciful, good, faithful, and patient God. He does not turn away from us when we fall into sin, but continually calls us to repentance and to return to Him.
As we come to know the attributes of God, we discover that we have a God who desires to have a personal and genuine relationship with us. He invites us to draw near to Him, to share with Him our joys, struggles, fears, and needs, and to entrust our lives to Him with confidence, because we know that He loves us and cares for us.
It was also emphasized that friendship with God is not merely an idea or a word we say, but a relationship that is built day by day through prayer, reading the Word of God, repentance, receiving the Body and Blood of our Lord, and living according to His commandments. The closer we draw to Him and the more we come to know Him, the more our love for Him grows, and God’s presence in our lives becomes a source of peace, joy, and strength.
✠ The activity for today included several religious and entertaining questions and competitions. Prizes were distributed to the winners as a generous offering from Mrs. Fairouz Abdulhai. May the Lord bless her and reward her with health and wellness.
✠ The meeting concluded with the recitation of the Nicene Creed.
✠ Afterwards, everyone gathered in the hall to enjoy refreshments and sweets generously offered by Mrs. Mona Kassab. May the Lord bless her life and reward her with health and wellness.
