✠✠✠ اجتماع أخوية العذراء القديسة مريم يوم الخميس 27 آب، 2026.
✠ تم بنعمة الرب اجتماع أخوية العذراء القديسة مريم للسيدات في كنيسة القديسة هيلانة للسريان الأرثوذكس في لانكاستر – كاليفورنيا يوم الخميس 27 آب 2026 الساعة 6:30 مساءا.
✠ بدأ الإجتماع بصلاة تأملية للسيدة الفاضلة جليلة الست (أم عماد) ثم صلى الجميع الصلاة الربانية والسلام عليك يا مريم.
✠ قدم كاهن الرعية الأب بسام دروج تفسير لبعض الآيات من الإنجيل المقدس بحسب القديس لوقا (لو1: 46- 55) التي تتحدث عن تسبحة السيدة العذراء القديسة مريم.
✠ رتل الأخوات بعض التراتيل للعذراء القديسة مريم بمناسبة عيد انتقالها للسماء.
✠ تم طرح بعض الأسئلة الدينية الخاصة بالسيدة العذراء مريم كمقدمة للموضوع الرئيسي وكان التجاوب والتفاعل رائعا من الجميع.
✠ كان الموضوع الرئيسي اليوم بعنوان (الطريق إلى السماء) بمناسبة عيد انتقال السيدة العذراء مريم إلى السماء، تحدث فيه الأب بسام دروج عن المعاني الروحية لهذا العيد وتأثيره في حياة كل مؤمن.
عيد انتقال السيدة العذراء مريم إلى السماء هو من أجمل أعياد الكنيسة وفي هذا العيد نحن لانتحدث عن نهاية حياة السيدة العذراء وانتقالها للسماء بل عن حياتها كلها، فالعذراء القديسة مريم عاشت على الأرض ولكن قلبها كان متجهًا دائمًا نحو السماء، وهكذا كل إنسان مسيحي مؤمن يعيش على الأرض وهو يعلم أن الأرض ليست موطنه الأبدي، بل هي مرحلة في الطريق إلى السماء.
فحياتنا على الأرض هي فترة من الزمن نتعلم فيها كيف نعيش مع الله، وننمو في الإيمان، ونعيش بالمحبة والرجاء، ونتعلم الطاعة والتواضع ونحمل الصليب، ونعيش حياة القداسة حتى نصل بنهاية حياتنا إلى السماء حيث الحياة الأبدية.
لذلك عندما نحتفل بانتقال السيدة العذراء القديسة مريم إلى السماء، فالكنيسة لا تقول لنا: أنظروا أين وصلت القديسة مريم، بل تقول لنا أيضا: أنظروا كيف عاشت القديسة مريم حتى وصلت للسماء. فالسماء ليست مجرد نهاية نتمنى أن نصل إليها، بل حياة نبدأ بالاستعداد إليها من الآن.
✠ كان النشاط اليوم هو مسابقة تجميع الآيات وكانت الآيات عن القديسة العذراء مريم، وقد وزعت الجوائز على الفائزين.
✠ تم توزيع هدايا على الحضور وهي صورة للسيدة العذراء مريم تحتوي على صلاة تأملية خلف الصورة، لتكون ذكرى لهم بمناسبة عيد انتقال السيدة العذراء إلى السماء.
✠ اختتم الإجتماع بصلاة قانون الإيمان.
✠ بعدها توجه الجميع إلى الصالة لتناول بعد الضيافات والحلويات تقدمة من السيدة إيمان وابنتها جيسيكا وطفة، ربنا يعوض عليهم بالصحة والعافية بشفاعة السيدة العذراء القديسة مريم.
✠✠✠ Meeting of the Sisterhood of the Blessed Virgin Mary on Thursday, August 27, 2026.
✠ By the grace of the Lord, the Sisterhood of the Blessed Virgin Mary held its ladies’ meeting at St. Helena Syriac Orthodox Church in Lancaster, California, on Thursday, August 27, 2026, at 6:30 PM.
✠ The meeting began with a reflective prayer led by the gracious Mrs. Jalileh Al-Set (Umm Imad), followed by everyone praying the Lord’s Prayer and the Hail Mary.
✠ The parish priest, Father Bassam Darrouj, gave an explanation of some verses from the Holy Gospel according to St. Luke (Luke 1:46–55), which speak about the hymn of praise of the Blessed Virgin Mary.
✠ The sisters sang several hymns honoring the Blessed Virgin Mary in celebration of the Feast of her Assumption into Heaven.
✠ Several religious questions concerning the Virgin Mary were presented as an introduction to the main topic. Everyone participated enthusiastically, and the interaction was wonderful.
✠ Today’s main topic was entitled “The Way to Heaven,” presented on the occasion of the Feast of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary. Fr. Bassam Darrouj spoke about the spiritual meaning of this feast and its significance in the life of every believer.
The Feast of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary into Heaven is one of the most beautiful feasts of the Church. On this feast, we do not speak only about the end of the Virgin Mary’s earthly life and her Assumption into Heaven, but about her entire life.
The Blessed Virgin Mary lived on earth, but her heart was always directed toward Heaven. In the same way, every faithful Christian lives on earth knowing that this world is not his or her eternal home, but rather a stage along the journey to Heaven.
Our life on earth is therefore a period of time in which we learn how to live with God, grow in faith, live in love and hope, and learn obedience and humility, carry the cross, and live a life of holiness, so that at the end of our earthly life we may reach Heaven, where eternal life awaits us.
Therefore, when we celebrate the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary into Heaven, the Church does not simply tell us, “Look where Saint Mary has reached,” but also tells us, “Look at how Saint Mary lived in order to reach Heaven.” Heaven is not merely an ending that we hope to reach; it is a life for which we begin preparing from this very moment.
✠ Today’s activity was a Bible Verse Assembly Competition, with the verses focusing on the Blessed Virgin Mary. Prizes were presented to the winners.
✠ Gifts were distributed to those in attendance. Each gift was a picture of the Blessed Virgin Mary with a meditative prayer printed on the back, serving as a keepsake in commemoration of the Feast of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary into Heaven.
✠ The meeting concluded with the prayer of the Nicene Creed.
✠ Afterwards, everyone gathered in the hall to enjoy refreshments and sweets generously offered by Mrs. Iman and her daughter Jessica Watfa. May the Lord reward them with health and strength through the intercession of the Blessed Virgin Mary.
