St. Paul Penryn Food Pantry needs 2 volunteers for distribution this Saturday, June 6
Time: 9:00 AM - 12:00 PM

With Synod Assembly happening this weekend, they're short-handed and could really use some extra help getting food to neighbors in need.

What's in a name? A lot — especially on Name Tag Sunday!

We're bringing it back on Sunday, June 7. Pastor Will is asking everyone to pick up a name tag in the narthex before service so we can connect, remember names, and welcome new faces.

It’s a simple way to say “we’re glad you’re here.”

Trivia won't fit in the Herald this week, so you get the drop here:

Holy kissing is a real thing — Paul told the Corinthians to “greet one another with a holy kiss” in 2 Cor 13:12, and the early church actually did it every Sunday.

It was a cheek kiss to show you were family in Christ, but people got weird about it...and the Romans thought it looked shady. Eventually, it got so awkward that medieval churches swapped it out for kissing a pax board — a wooden plaque you kissed and passed down the pew.

More or less awkward? I'm not sure.

☀️ SUMMER WORSHIP SCHEDULE UPDATE ☀️

Starting Sunday, May 31, we’re shifting to our summer schedule: one service at 9:30am!

To help things run smoothly with a fuller sanctuary, we’re making a few tweaks:

📍 Welcome & announcements will start promptly at 9:30am
🎶 All pre-service music will wrap up by 9:30 → If you don’t want to miss the prelude/musical meditation, plan to be in your seat by 9:20am

We’re also tightening up announcements and streamlining Communion so you can still get to all your summer fun without missing worship 💛

See you May 31 at 9:30!
