Here at St. John’s we are informally reverent. Even if you’ve never been to church, or if it’s been a long time, you are welcome here! You never know what might happen on a Sunday morning 🕺🏻

The scammers are at it again! 😡 I am not texting anyone about having a quick and discrete conversation. I may, however, text you to see how you and Jesus are doing… Remember if it doesn’t sound like me, it isn’t me. Block the number and say a prayer for the person behind it. Also, I really do want to know how you and Jesus are doing…❤️

School starts soon ✏️📚

…but it’s not too late to donate to our school supply drive! We want to bless our neighbors at Fulton Elementary School by collecting (new) items like backpacks, folders, notebooks, calculators, pencil cases, art supplies, binders, glue sticks, pencils, pens, markers, disinfectant wipes, scissors, tissues, and tape.

Last call! Bring your donations to church Sunday Aug 16 or during office hours (today, Aug 13 until 4pm or Friday Aug 14 10am-1pm).

Yard Give day one ✅
There are still many more treasures available! Come check them out at St. John’s Episcopal Church at 321 W Chestnut St on Saturday from 7am - 11am. Everything is available by donation - take what you need, give what you can.

Thank you to our wonderful volunteers and parish members who donated items and their time to make this event happen, we couldn’t have done it without you!

A quick update from Fr. Joe:

I’m now just past the halfway point of my chaplaincy in Santiago with the Anglican Pilgrim Centre and will be back at St. John’s next Sunday. Today I had the privilege of celebrating the Holy Eucharist on the Feast of St. James in the city where he rests. What a blessing!

This week has been spent with pilgrims and others from around the world, offering a listening ear, encouragement, blessings, prayer, and sacrament. All of you have been included in my prayers.

This ministry has also been a reminder that what I’m doing here is not just my ministry but is the ministry of all of St. John’s. Our collective witness extends far beyond the walls of our church, reaching all the way to Spain and beyond.

Please continue to pray for me and my family in these final days, and know that I will continue praying for all of you.
