The Thanksgiving meal went great. Everyone was fed. Many were blessed, and God’s work was done in service to the community. All were welcomed, no exceptions, as it should be.
I want to thank Zaakira Holt (the brains and organizer) and her family for everything they did. You made this the best Thanksgiving this pastor has ever seen. May God continue to work through you in all you do.
To everyone who donated food, money, decorations, and time, YOU ARE AWESOME! This would not have happened and definitely would not have been as fun without you!
To everyone who was fed, blessed, or lifted prayers, I pray you will continue to receive God’s blessings.
It feels good to do good, but that’s not why we do it. We do it because that’s what Jesus would do, and what we are commanded to do. Blessings…

I’ve been at the church since 5:45 AM. Got two of the four turkeys cooked. We have ham on the way. We will be frying chicken. We will have yams, green beans, dinner rolls, and more desserts than you can shake a stick at. This will be a Thanksgiving to remember for Lancaster and the Douglas community.

Everyone who sees this post is welcome to come and have a wonderful Thanksgiving meal at Douglas Presbyterian Church between 2:00pm and 5:00 PM p.m. today. FREE… no string attached. Just because we care.

We have event planners helping us decorate, will do a shout out to them later with pictures of their work. We have over a dozen volunteers setting up, cooking serving and cleaning.

What a wonderful Thanksgiving God has made this out to be. If you have nowhere to go today, if you would like to have some fellowship, come on down to Douglas Presbyterian Church this Thanksgiving day.

Our civic duty is called upon us more than once every four years. To say thank you for your civic duty, the Douglas Presbyterian Outreach Team has coffee and donuts ready as a token of our appreciation. No preaching, no evangelizing. Just a simple thank you for being a good citizen. Come by and say hello.
