Please keep the family of Roselea Hunts Along in your prayers at this time. Eternal rest grant unto her O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon her. May her soul and all the souls of the faithful departed rest in peace. Amen. 🙏

Notice – Change of Pastor – Oct. 1, 2026

A message from Br. Mike Dorn, OFM Cap.:
Availability is what first led me to offer my life to the Creator by walking the path as a brother in the Capuchin Franciscan Order of the Catholic Church. Our vows of celibacy, not owning anything to our name, and obedience-- all strive to facilitate this spirit of availability to the people of God everywhere. This spirit, not just the assignment I was given, is what brought me to Crow Country in May 2021 from a Mexican-American neighborhood in Chicago to be available for four years. And then last year, when Deacon Joe Kristufek retired, again availability & obedience to the spirit of the Creator working through my superiors (elected council) brought me to N. Cheyenne Country. And now, a newly elected council has once again called upon that spirit of availability that each of us brothers have vowed and are meant to model whenever & wherever we are assigned. Thus, because of a shortage of brothers in our Capuchin (as opposed to diocesan) ministries, it’s with a heavy heart that I share the news that I’ve been re-assigned to fill a leadership role at the Capuchin Services Center in Detroit, MI effective October 1st. Consequently, Fr. Jozef Timmers, OFM Cap., pastor of St. Labre Parish, will also become pastor of Blessed Sacrament & Christ the King parishes, while Sr. Jean Glach, OP continues as Pastoral Associate. Please know how grateful I am to the entire N. Cheyenne community for welcoming me into your lives this past year. I truly wish it could have been longer, yet I know that the spirit of availability that has crossed our paths, will no doubt continue its blessed and mysterious work of transforming all of us towards the oneness of Christ as the Creator’s children. Until we meet again, please know of my continued prayers for both the Crow & N. Cheyenne Nations.🙏✝
