To Our Church, with Love,

It is has been a wonderful five years; we have faced both challenges and victories with tenacity and the strength of our faith.

We endured the COVID pandemic and became a stronger church. Since then: our rolls have grown, we've launched new initiatives and events within the community, baptisms have increased, we've welcomed new ruling elders, and new families have walked through our door. In a time where most churches are in decline, we have been doing the opposite.

To God be the glory! More importantly, in these five years I've grown to know you and your families. I've rejoiced with you in times of joy.

I've mourned alongside of you in times of sorrow. It is one of the reasons why I do not take this decision lightly and what makes this time of discernment incredibly difficult.

I have prayed for some time, and believe that God has revealed plans that are at cross-purpose to me continuing to serve at Mt. Airy. The pull of family is difficult to ignore, especially as both my children and parents grow older.

It is why we have decided to move back to Long Island to be closer to my own family. Tara, myself, and our children have strong love and ties to this church; this was the result of several months of family prayer, and discussions with our extended family.

I say God's plans have been revealed, and I find the timing of it to be uncanny. There are a number of churches in the surrounding area that have just undergone or are going through this same process. I look to Lambertville Church and its open pulpit. My prayer is that you will continue to have a spirit of collaboration and joint fellowship. My hope is that one day it will launch Mt. Airy and other churches in the area into a joint worship effort and experience, perhaps with shared staff.

You have a core group of wonderful and faithful people. Even when volunteering in the US is at an all time low, someone is always willing to pitch in and provide support. It is one of your greatest assets, so I encourage you to foster it in the months and years to come. I have all the faith and confidence that God has set before you a path of resurgence and renewal, for I've seen it on your faces Sunday morning.

In my tenure as your pastor, I have felt the Lord's presence dwelling among us each and every Sunday morning. For that is the main reason I believe God has plans and a path before you. 🙏

Feel free to reach out and speak to me about your feelings or thoughts regarding my leave or about the future of this congregation. I will pray with you, I will clarify for you, and I will grieve alongside of you. Most importantly, I will endeavor to do what I've always done: point us to the Lord and His work in this vineyard.

In Christ, with Christ, for Christ

“Jesus called the children to him and said, 'Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these. Truly I tell you, anyone who will not receive the kingdom of God like a little child will never enter it'” So many thanks to the children of our church for helping make music with their voices and instruments this morning.

As we light the of we lift up our voices in song. Each week, we celebrate the upcoming birth of our Lord by singing our favorite

Would you like to join us in song? Come and sing with us tonight, enjoying the songs of the season in our quarterly at 7pm

Psalm 133

The Blessedness of Unity

A Song of Ascents.

1 How very good and pleasant it is
when kindred live together in unity!
2 It is like the precious oil on the head,
running down upon the beard,
on the beard of Aaron,
running down over the collar of his robes.
3 It is like the dew of Hermon,
which falls on the mountains of Zion.
For there the Lord ordained his blessing,
life forevermore.

Hi everyone! In today’s we celebrate the first true frost. ❄️ Our plants have begun to die back and prepare for winter sleep, the birds have taken flight South, and today in many areas of Mexico, there are celebrations for family members and friends who have already passed.

, or Día de los Mu***os, is a traditional Mexican holiday celebrated November 2. On this day, it is believed that the souls of the dead return to visit their living family members. Many people celebrate this day by visiting the graves of deceased loved ones and setting up altars with their favorite foods, drink, and photos.

According to the traditional narrative taught in Mexico, the Day of the Dead arose from a syncretistic mix of two things: the Roman Catholic celebration of on November 1, and the celebration of death practiced by pre-Hispanic cultures for hundreds of years around the same time of year.

Thank you, God, for the tremendous sacrifices made by those who have gone before us. Bless the memories of your saints, God. May we learn how to walk wisely from their examples of faith, dedication, worship, and love.

Eternal God, hope of all who trust in you,
in Christ you weep with those who mourn even as you cry out in triumph over the grave. Unbind us from sin, release us from captivity, and with Lazarus, raise us from death to life, so that we may join that great crowd of saints who forever sing praise to your holy name; through Christ, the resurrection and the life. John 11:32-44

Join Mt. Airy Presbyterian Church at 10 am on Oct 1st for our annual Blessing of the Animals service at Marion F. Clawson Memorial Park.

“A righteous man care for the needs of animals” (Proverbs 12:10).

Each year, we celebrate the animals who have lived, loved, and worked beside us.

A blessing of the animals, which takes place around the Feast Day of St. Francis of Assisi (Oct 4), celebrates God’s love, care, and concern for creation. As we recognize our mutual interdependence with God’s creatures, the Church’s witness of stewardship of creation is strengthened.

Please join us with your pets for a service and a blessing. We'd love to have you stay and share a meal with us after the service; all are welcome.

If you have any questions, or would like more information, please contact us here through Facebook, or call (609) 397-2086.
