Church Announcements
Lord God, pour out your love upon Jolie Marie Willhite as we celebrate her baptism in a private service on Sunday! Jolie is the infant daughter of Mitchell & Sohpia Willhite. Her sponsors are Paige & Nick Wilhelmy and Taylor & Derek Christians.
A few teaching positions are left! Thank you to everyone who has signed up to help teach Sunday School this year!! We still need someone to teach 5th grade in the fall & spring (winter months covered) and someone to share teach 8th/9th grade. Sign-up is on the bulletin board by the offices. We need subs as well! We have many committed teachers but they may need substitutes from time to time so we would love to have a list for them to call on!
Luther League News: Wednesday, September 9 @ 6pm
We kick off our first meeting time of the year with a picnic style meal at the church before going on a hayride that will go around town and then to Kuhar park where we will have a campfire with smores and music. We will return to the church at the end of the evening. Come on over to the church around 6 or whenever your practice wraps up! We have heard a few ideas to include this year, but bring more ideas of what you want to do. Friends are welcome!
Service in the Park, September 13
Join us for an Ecumenical Worship Service in the Lamberton City Park for Hot Iron Days on Sunday, September 13, 2026 at 11am! Bring your lawn chairs or blankets. ALL are welcome!
*Please note, we will NOT have a church service at Our Savior’s that day.
Come and join us for Rally Sunday, September 20th! Our worship service is at a different time this day, 10:00am! At 9:00am we will have Sunday School and the Confirmands & Parents' Meeting (everyone meets in the Sanctuary).
Following the 10:00am worship service we will have a Potluck! Hamburgers and hotdogs will be served and we invite everyone to bring a salad or dessert! No one will be turned away for forgetting to bring something! We will also be wishing Pastor Tom & Sandy farewell and welcoming Pastor Rich & Rachel and family. Please join us:)
Saturday, September 12th Luther league will be selling rolls and bake sale items in the park during Hot Iron Days festivities!
Resurrection Lutheran Church in Mankato is thrilled to host this year’s Augustana District Women of the Word Gathering on Saturday, September 19th. The keynote speaker is Rev. Julie Smith! Through uplifting worship, inspiring speakers, and interactive breakout sessions, we hope this day truly fills your cup and brings you joy, relaxation, and fresh inspiration! The cost for the event is $25 per person (in person or online) or $50 for a church online. More information and registration forms are available in the church office. Registration deadline is September 7th.
“Be Our Guest” with the Windom Area Chordhusters, featuring Vocality on Saturday, September 12, 2026 at 3:00pm at the American Lutheran Church in Windom (906 Prospect Ave). Afterglow to follow in basement social hall at the church. There will be a freewill donation to contribute to our youth scholarship fund. Tickets are available from chorus members or call Paul Huls at 507-822-2407 or Karl Frederickson at 507-831-5091.
SEPTEMBER MISSION EMPHASIS ~The Table Ministry~
The Table Ministry found a new home this past year at the Western Mall where they lease space to hold worship, Bible Study and gather around the table, together. We have supported The Table Ministry since their humble beginning as “the church in a bar”. People came, and continue to come. With growing, comes a continued need for support and we ask you to prayerfully support this congregation as they grow and reach out to the community of Sioux Falls.
You can pick up a blue envelope in the pew or use your own envelope and write "The Table Ministry" on it to designate for mission giving. You may also give your donation online via our website or use the link below and select ’mission’. https://oslclamberton.churchcenter.com/giving
