Grace Place Logo Meaning
Grace Place is a church called to be a gospel sowing and disciple making church. We desire to be a place where the grace of God is productive. This provides the agrarian theme of the logo along with the parable of the sower.
The overall picture of the logo is a wheat stalk. The arch is the ground and in the ground is the seed of the good news of Jesus. The five roots represent the five relationships that the gospel brings restoration into. These five roots are the foundation of a healthy plant: God, family, Church, world, enemy.
When our roots are nurtured by the gospel, a healthy plant grows and produces a yield in each respective area: an abundant walk with God, a biblically ordered relationship with family, a unified participation in the body of Christ, an evangelistic yet contrastive heart for the world, and a powerful opposition to our enemy.
The parable of the sower asks if the good news of Jesus’ death, burial and resurrection has landed on fertile soil where a fruit is produced, or if it has fallen on any of the other types of soil that ultimately end with the seed producing no fruit.
Ecclesiastes 3:11 tells us that God has placed eternity on the human heart. This means that you can talk to any human about eternity from God’s word and there will undoubtably be a response, whether good or bad. In John 17:3, Jesus says, “And this is eternal life, that they know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom you have sent.”
Everyone longs for eternity, but eternity will be spent either knowing and being with Jesus, or hating and being separate from Him.
Do you know Christ Jesus?
