Walk Straight in 2024!

당신의 새해 결심은 무엇인가요?
가슴을 펴고 앞을 보며 시속 4마일 속도로 바로 걷는 것, 이것이 올해 나의 새해 결심이다. 너무 빠른 걸음이 아니냐고 걱정하시는 분이 계시다. 내 의미는 내가 할 수 있는 최대한으로 빨리 걸으며 살고 싶다는 의미이다.

작년에 한국 방문 중 서울에서친구나 지인과의 약속 장소를 갈 때 지하철을 이용하며 즐긴적이 있다. 지하철 계단을 오르 내리고 걷는 것이 내겐 기쁨이었다. 그래서 짐을 가지거나 몹씨 피곤한 때가 아니면 에스컬레이터를 두고 일부러 계단으로 걷는 때가 많았다.
내가 살고 있는 미국에선 단연 Chambers bay golf course 나 Nisqually wildlife refuge가 빨리 걷기 좋은 곳이다.

걸음을 빨리 걸으면 이점이 참 많다. 빨리 걷기의 장점을 생각해 본다.

1. **건강 증진**: 빠르게 걷기는 심장 건강을 개선하고 체력을 증진시키며, 체중 감량에도 도움을 줄 수 있습니다.
2. **스트레스 감소**: 규칙적인 빠르게 걷는 운동은 스트레스와 불안감을 줄이는 데 도움이 됩니다.
3. **효율성 증가**: 걸음을 빨리 걸으면 같은 시간에 더 많은 거리를 이동할 수 있어 시간을 효율적으로 사용할 수 있습니다.
4. **대사 증진**: 빠르게 걷기는 대사율을 높여 체내 칼로리 소모를 증가시킬 수 있습니다.
5. **근력 및 지구력 향상**: 빨리 걷기는 하체와 코어 근육을 강화하며, 지구력을 높이는 데 도움이 됩니다.
6. **혈액순환 개선**: 빠른 걸음은 혈액순환을 촉진하여 신체의 산소와 영양소 공급을 개선합니다.

What is your New Year's resolution?

This is my New Year's resolution this year:
to straighten my chest, look ahead, and walk at a speed of 4 miles per hour. Some people are worried that I am walking too fast. What I mean is, I want to live my life walking as fast as I can.

Last year, while visiting Korea, I had the pleasure of using the subway to go to a meeting place with friends or acquaintances in Seoul. Walking up and down the subway stairs was a joy to me. So, unless I had luggage or was extremely tired, I often left the escalator behind and took the stairs.
In the United States, where I live, the Chambers Bay golf course and the Nisqually wildlife refuge are good places for a quick walk.

There are many benefits to walking quickly. Think about the advantages of brisk walking.

1. **Better health**: Brisk walking improves heart health, increases stamina, and can even help you lose weight.
2. **Stress Reduction**: Regular brisk walking exercise helps reduce stress and anxiety.
3. **Increased Efficiency**: Walking faster allows you to cover more distance in the same amount of time, allowing you to use your time more efficiently.
4. **Improves metabolism**: Brisk walking can increase your metabolic rate, which can increase your body's calorie burn.
5. **Improves strength and endurance**: Brisk walking strengthens your lower body and core muscles and helps increase endurance.
6. **Improves blood circulation**: Brisk walking promotes blood circulation, improving the body's supply of oxygen and nutrients.
7. **Improves Posture**: Regular brisk walking can help maintain good posture.
8. **Boosts immunity**: Brisk walking can strengthen your immune system, making you more resistant to colds and other illnesses.
9. **Promotes Mental Clarity**: A brisk walk can clear your mind and improve creativity and focus.

예수님은 문제의 해결자

마태복음 11장 28절
수고하고 무거운 짐 진 자들아 다 내게로 오라 내가 너희를 쉬게 하리라

갑자기 셀폰에 소리가 들리지 않는다. 설정에 들어가서 사운드를 체크하고 또 점검했다. 아무런 이상이 없었다. 그래도 소리가 나지 않는다. 유튜브를 들을 수 없고 녹음도 할 수 없었다. 먹통이 된 것이다. 소리가 들리지 않으니 몹시 불편하고 답답했다. 무언가 큰 문제는 아닌 것 같은 느낌이었지만 문제가 해결되지 않아 고민 끝에 결국 도움을 받기로 결정하고 폰 센터에 갔다 . 전문가에게 설명하고 폰을 보이니 단숨에 블루투스가 켜 있는 것을 발견하고 블루투스를 켜 놓았느냐고 물었다. 잠시 생각해보니 내가 사용하던 이어버드를 호주머니에 넣고 끄지 않고 있었던 것이다. 블루투스가 귀에 꽂혀 있었으면 내가 소리를 들을 수 있었을 터인데 호주머니에 넣었기에 들을 수 없었던 것이다. 내게 이런 일은 처음이었기에 당황했지만 전문가에게 상담하니 얼마나 빨리 너무쉽게 해결할 수 있어 다행스러웠다. 감사함을 드리면서 나는 내 머리를 스쳐 지나가는 것이 있었다.

우리 살아갈 때 수 없는 갈등 의심 두려움 등 많은 문제들이 우리를 답답하게 하고 짜증나게 만들 때가 많다. 이러한 문제를 내 혼자서 해결하려고 발버둥 쳤던 자신을 한 번 바라보게 된다.

우리 인생의 문제를 가장 잘 아시는 창조자 하나님께 우리의 모든 무거운 짐들 죄악과 질병 고민 근심과 두려움들을 가지고 가자. 그 앞에 나가 우리의 문제를 고하고 도와달라고 하면 전능하시고 인자한 하나님은 언제나 어디서나 우리의 문제를 해결해주시는 하나님 입니다.

나는 이 하나님을 오늘 아침에도 만나 마음에 기쁨과 평강을 누린다.

"Jesus is the problem solver"

Matthew 11:28
Come to me all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.

Suddenly there is no sound on my cell phone. I went into the settings and checked the sound systems in several times. There was nothing wrong. Still no sound. I couldn't listen to YouTube and couldn't record. It became fed up. It was very uncomfortable and frustrating because I couldn't hear the sound. I felt like it was not a big problem, but the problem was not resolved, so I finally decided to get help and went to the phone center. After explaining to the expert and showing the phone, he immediately found that Bluetooth was turned on and asked if I had turned it on. When I thought about it for a moment, I had put the earbuds I was using in my pocket and hadn't turned them off. I would have been able to hear it if it had been in my ear, but I couldn't because it was in my pocket. It was my first time doing something like this, so I was taken aback, but after consulting with an expert, I was fortunate to see how quickly and easily it could be resolved. While giving thanks him, I had something going through my head.

There are many times when many problems such as conflicts, doubts, and fears found in our lives make us frustrated and annoyed. I look at myself who struggled to solve these problems by myself.

Let's take all our heavy burdens, sins, diseases, worries, and fears to God, the Creator who knows the problems of our lives best. If we go in front of him and tell him about our problems and ask for help, the almighty and merciful God is the God who solves our problems anytime, anywhere.

I meet this God this morning and enjoy joy and peace in my heart.

"보라 내가 새 일을 행하리니"

이사야 43:19
보라 내가 새 일을 행하리니 이제 나타낼 것이라 너희가 그것을 알지 못하겠느냐 반드시 내가 광야에 길을 사막에 강을 내리니

하나님은 말씀을 통하여 이스라엘 백성들이 출애굽 때를 떠올리시며, 바다 (홍해) 가운데 길을 내어 백성들을 지나가게 하셨던 일을 기억하게 하십니다.
그 후 40년간 길 없던 광야를 거쳐 결국 가나안 땅으로 들어가게 하신 것을 회상하게 하십니다.

이스라엘이 출애굽을 잊는다는 것은 하나님의 은혜를 잊는 것이며, 자신의 정체성을 상실하는 것을 의미합니다.

인생이 살아 가는 길은 광야와 같습니다. 앞길은 잘 보이지 않고 사나운 맹수의 위험과 도적의 위험을 만날 때도 있습니다. 때론 강도의 위험을 무릅써야 하기도 합니다. 사막 바람을 만날 때도 있다. 여행 중에 우박이나 번개를 만날 때는그 여행이 산산조각 날 때도 있습니다. 특히 조국을 떠나 타국에서 이민의 삶을 살아가는 인생은 더욱 그렇습니다. 언어와 문화가 다른 세상에서 성공을 꿈꾸며, 자녀들의 미래를 위하여 뚜벅뚜벅 걸어왔던 나의 디아스포라 삶이 어언 반백년 되어 갑니다.

그 토록 버겁고 힘든 세월, 수많은 갈등과 차별, 오해와 비난, 그리고 불공정 불상식 속에서도 견디고 이겨낼 수 있었던 것은 믿음과 미래의 소망이 있었기 때문이었습니다.

생각해보면 우리가 태어났던 시대 조국 대한민국은 후진국에 속해 있었습니다. 제가 어렸을 때 가교사에서 교육을 받았고 기억하는 것은 초등 1학년 때는 반별로 나누어 시장 길거리에서 학교 수업을 받은 적도 있었습니다. 그런 상황 속에서 교육받으며 성장하여 이민 올 당시에는 기적적으로 한국은 개발 도상 국가가 되었습니다. 그런데 우리의 자녀들이 태어난 이곳은 이미시대를 앞서가는 선진국입니다. 후진국에서 선진국의 모든 세대를 경험 했습니다.
생각하면 우리 세대는 모든 세대, 종합 세대를 살아 본 인류 역사상 특이한 세대라고 생각합니다.
세대의 갈등, 인종차별의 갈등, 언어의 갈등들을 도도하게 승화시키며 승리한 것이 우리들의 세대에 자부심이며 자랑이라고 생각합니다.

무엇보다도 광야에 길을 내시는 하나님, 사막에 강을 내시는 하나님을 믿으며 그의 인도 하심이 있었기에 가능했다고 믿습니다.

인생 여정에서 우리의 나침반과 로드맵이 되어 인도해 주시고 우리들의 영육간의 목마름을 해갈 시키시며 지금도 계속하여 새 일을 행하시는 하나님을 바라보며 오늘도 주 안에서 승리하기를 선포합니다.

"Behold, I will do a new thing"

Isaiah 43:19
Behold, I am doing a new thing, now it springs forth; do you not know it? Surely I will make a way in the wilderness and rivers in the desert.

God reminds the Israelites of the time of the Exodus and reminds them of the work that God made a way through the sea.
After that, God reminds us of how He led them through the wilderness without a road for 40 years and finally entered the land of Canaan.

For Israel to forget the Exodus means to forget God's grace and to lose their own identity.

The path of life is like a wilderness. There are times when you can't see the road ahead and encounter the dangers of ferocious beasts and thieves. Sometimes you have to risk being robbed. Sometimes you meet the desert wind. When we encounter hail or lightning while traveling, there are times when the journey is shattered. This is especially true of the life of an immigrant life in a foreign country after leaving the homeland. Dreaming of success in a world with different languages and cultures, my life in the diaspora, where I walked for the future of my children, is about half a century old.

It was because we had faith and hope for the future that we were able to persevere and overcome in the midst of so many difficults and difficult years, countless conflicts, discrimination, broken relationship, misunderstandings, criticisms, and unfairness.

If you think about it, when we were born, Korea, the motherland, belonged to an underdeveloped country. When I was young, I was educated at a school, and what I remember is that in the first grade of elementary school, there were times when we divided into classes and took school classes on the market street. I was educated and raised in such circumstances, and when I immigrated, Korea miraculously became a developing country. However, the place where our children were born is already an advanced country ahead of its time. All generations of developed countries have experienced it in underdeveloped countries.

When I think about it, our generation is a unique generation in human history that has lived through all generations and comprehensive generations.
I think it is our generation's pride and pride to have won by sublimating conflicts between generations, conflicts of racial discrimination, and conflicts of language.

Above all, I believe in a God who makes a way in the wilderness and a river in the desert, and I believe that it was possible because of his guidance.

Looking at the God who guides us as our compass and roadmap on the journey of life, quenches our spiritual and physical thirst, and continues to do new things today, I declare that we will be victorious in the Lord.

From community to global, from news viewer to maker, from receiver to giver, from follower to opinion leader, from thought to action...

누가복음 6장 37절
비판하지 말라 그리하면 너희가 비판을 받지 않을 것이요 정죄하지 말라 그리하면 너희가 정죄를 받지 않을 것이요 용서하라 그리하면 너희가 용서를 받을 것이요.

새해 첨 맞이하는 주말입니다. 오늘은 친구가 보내온 이야기로 오늘을 열겠습니다.

"어느 학교의 수업시간"

칠판에 '선과 악'이라 써놓고는 강의가 시작했습니다.

“한 쌍의 부부가 유람선을 타고 여행을 하다가 큰 폭풍우로 해상재난을 당했는데 그 배의 구조정에는 자리가 하나 밖에 없었습니다. 이 때 남편은 부인을 남겨두고 혼자 구조선에 올랐고 부인은 침몰하는 배 위에서 남편을 향해 소리쳤습니다."

선생님은 여기까지 얘기하고는 학생들에게 질문했습니다.

"여러분, 그 상황에서 부인이 남편에게 무슨 말을 했을까요?"

학생들은 모두 격분하여 여기저기서 떠들며 대답했습니다.

"당신을 저주해요. 당신을 남편으로 선택한 내 눈이 삐었지! 어디 얼마나 잘 처먹고 잘 사나봐라!"

이때 선생님 눈에 한 학생은 한 마디도 하지 않고 고개를 숙이고 있는 것을 발견하고 그 학생에게 다가가 나지막하게 물었습니다.

“그럼 너는 어떻게 생각하니?”

그 학생은 의외로 이렇게 대답했습니다.

"선생님, 제가 생각했을 때, 부인은 아마 이렇게 말했을 것 같습니다, 우리 아이 잘 부탁해요"

선생님은 깜짝 놀라며 물었습니다.

"너 이 얘기 어디서 들어봤니?“

학생은 머리를 좌우로 흔들며 말했습니다.

"아니요. 그런데 제 어머니가 돌아가실 때 아버지한테 그렇게 말했어요."

선생님은 감격해 하며 다시 강단에 올라 말했습니다.

"정답이다."

그리고 이야기를 계속 이어 나갔습니다.

"배는 침몰했고 남편은 무사히 집으로 돌아와 자녀들을 잘 키웠고, 그 남편도 몇 년 후 병으로 죽었단다."

자녀들이 아빠의 유물을 정리하던 중 아빠의 일기장을 발견하는데, 아빠와 엄마가 배 여행을 갔을 때 이야기가 적혀있었지.

그 때 엄마는 이미 고칠 수 없는 중병에 걸려 세상을 떠나보낼 마지막 위로의 여행중이었는데 그 때 마침 큰 폭풍우를 만나 사고가 발생하였고 아빠는 자식들을 위해 마지막 살 수 있는 유일한 기회를 버릴 수가 없었다는 내용이었다.

아빠의 일기에는 이렇게 쓰여 있었다.

“여보 미안하오. 그 때 당신이 나를 등 떠밀지만 않았다면 그 때 나도 당신과 함께 바다 속에서 같이 죽고 싶었지만,
그럴 수가 없었지. 눈에 넣어도 아프지 않은 우리들의 사랑하는 자식들 때문에
당신만 깊고 깊은 차가운 바다 속에 잠들게 할 수 밖에 없었어.

천국에서 당신과 다시 만날 그날만을 고대하며 당신 몫까지 아이들을 잘 키울게!"

이야기를 끝내자, 그렇게 잘 조잘거리던 아이들도 아무도 입을 열지 못하고 교실은 침묵이 흘렀습니다.

세상에서 선과 악이란 어떤 때는 복잡하게 얽혀있어 쉽게 판단할 수 없을 때가 있습니다. 그냥 눈에 보이는 대로만 상대를 가볍게 판단해서는 안 됩니다.

Do not judge, and you will not be judged; do not condemn, and you will not be condemned; forgive, and you will be forgiven.

It's the first weekend to welcome the new year. Today, I will open today with a story I received from a friend.

"Which school's class time?"

After writing 'good and evil' on the blackboard, the lecture began.

“A couple was traveling on a cruise ship and suffered a sea disaster due to a big storm, but there was only one seat in the rescue boat. At this time, her husband climbed into the rescue boat alone, leaving her wife behind, and her wife shouted at her husband from the sinking ship.”

After talking this far, the teacher asked the students questions.

"Students, what would her wife have said to her husband in that situation?"

All of the students were outraged and responded by shouting here and there.

"I curse you. My eyes are swollen for choosing you as my husband! How well you eat and live well!"

At this time, the teacher noticed that one of the students was bowing his head without saying a word.

“Then what do you think?”

The student unexpectedly replied:

"Sir, when I think about it, she probably said, Take care of our children"

The teacher was surprised and asked.

"Where have you heard of this?"

The student said, shaking her head from side to side.

"No. But when my mother died, she told my father that."

The teacher was thrilled and went up to the podium again.

"That's correct."

And he continued the story.

"The ship sank, and her husband returned home safely and raised her children well, and the husband also died of illness a few years later."

While the children were sorting out their father's artifacts, they found their father's diary, which contained a story from when father and mother went on a cruise trip.

At that time, the mother had already suffered from an incurable serious illness and was on her last consolation trip before sending her away. At that time, she met a big storm and an accident occurred, and the father could not throw away the only last chance to live for his children.

This was written in my father's diary.

“I’m sorry honey. At that time, if you hadn't pushed me on my back, then I wanted to die with you in the sea,
I couldn't. Because of our beloved children who don't hurt even if we put them in our eyes
I had no choice but to let you fall asleep in the deep deep cold sea.

I look forward to the day when I will meet you again in heaven, and I'll do your part to raise the children well!"

When the story was over, none of the children who were talking so well spoke, and the classroom fell silent.

In the world, good and evil are sometimes complicatedly intertwined and difficult to judge easily. You shouldn't judge others lightly just by what you see.

15. 지혜는 진주보다 귀하니 네가 사모하는 모든 것으로도 이에 비교할 수 없도다
16. 그의 오른손에는 장수가 있고 그의 왼손에는 부귀가 있나니
17. 그 길은 즐거운 길이요 그의 지름길은 다 평강이니라

새해 기도회가 열렸는데 기도회에 참석하신 시애틀 서은지 총영사님의 인사 말씀때 본인의 가족의 가훈을 말씀해 주셨습니다.
데살로니가전서 5장 16절에서 18절까지 말씀이라고 했습니다
항상 기뻐하라 쉬지 말고 기도하라 범사에 감사하라

나라의 부름을 받고 미국 시애틀 총영사로 오신 분이기에 남녀를 불문하고 권위를 세우고 때로는 다른이들과 각을 지우려는 행동을 할수도 있겠지만 어쩐지 얼굴에 미소가 가득하고 자신감이 차고 또 친근미가 돋 보인것 느낌을 받았습니다.
가훈따라 살려고 노력했던 총영사님의 삶이 엿보이는 것 같았습니다.

저희 아버지가 살아 계실 때 우리에게 늘 말씀하신 우리 가족의 가훈은 첫째 정직하라, 둘째 근면, 성실하라,
셋째 형제 우애하라 였습니다. 아마 그 당시 한국에서 평범한 가정들의 가훈이었련지 모릅니다. 그런데 우리 형제들의 삶을 뒤돌아 보니 모두 가훈 따라 살아온 흔적과 열매를 보고있는 것 같습니다.

최근 가정의 가훈이 없어지는 이 때에 각 가정마다 가훈 만들기 운동을 벌리면 어떨까 생각합니다.

15. Wisdom is more precious than pearls; nothing you desire can compare with it.
16. Longevity is in his right hand, and riches are in his left hand.
17. His way is a pleasant way, and all his shortcuts are peace.

January 5, 2023 at First Presbyterian Church in Federal Way Washington State a New Year's prayer meeting was held, and during the greetings, Consul General Suh Eun-ji of Seattle, who attended the prayer meeting, spoke of her family's family motto.
1 Thessalonians 5:16-18 is called the Word.
Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, give thanks in everything

Since she was called by her country and came as the consul general in Seattle, both men and women, they might be able to establish authority and sometimes act to cut corners with others, but somehow her face was full of smiles, her confidence was high, and her friendliness stood out.
It seemed like a glimpse into the life of the consul general who tried to live according to his family motto.

Our family motto, which my father always told us when he was alive, is first, be honest; second, be diligent; be sincere;
It was the third love brothers and sibling, Woo Ae Hara. Perhaps it was the family motto of ordinary families in Korea at that time. However, looking back at the lives of our brothers and sister, it seems that we are all seeing the traces and fruits of living according to the family motto.

At this time when family mottos are disappearing, I think what it would be like if each family held a campaign to create family mottos.

"내게 부르짖어라" 신년 연합기도회에 드립니다

예레미야 33장
2. 일을 행하시는 여호와, 그것을 만들며 성취하시는 여호와, 그의 이름을 여호와라 하는 이가 이와 같이 이르시도다
3. 너는 내게 부르짖으라 내가 네게 응답하겠고 네가 알지 못하는 크고 은밀한 일을 네게 보이리라

이 말씀은 내가 평소 외우고 간직하고 확신하며 즐겨 인용 하는 구절 인데 이 구절을 읽을 때마다 눈을 감아도 하나님의 임재를 느끼며 하나님의 명령 하시는 우렁찬 음성이 귀에 쟁쟁 합니다. 이는 에레미에게 하신 명령과 약속의 말씀이지만 지금 로고스의 말씀이 레마의 말씀으로 나의 심장을 두드리고 있기 때문으로 믿습니다.

오늘 워싱턴주 2023년 신년 기도회가 훼드럴웨이 제일 장로교회에서 열리는데 기도 순서를 맡아 준비하면서 주님의 음성을 들으며 아버지의 임재 하심을 기도합니다.

인간의 생사화복을 홀로 주관하시는 전능하신 하나님 아버지,
우리들에게 2023년 계묘년 새해를 건강하게 열어 주시고 주님께서 허락하신 사명 따라 살아가도록 축복해 주시니 감사합니다.

조국 대한민국과 우리의 삶의 터전인 미국 그리고 열방에 흩어져 살고 있는 사람들, 특별히 750만 디아스포라에게 이시간 하늘의 문을 여시고 하늘의 복을 내려 주시옵소서.

아메리칸 드림을 위하여 그리고 자녀들의 장래와 교육을 위하여 이 땅에 이민 와서 고생을 각오하고 근면과 성실로 열심히 살고 있는 부모세대 이민자들의 삶의 현실을 주님께서 잘 알고 계시오니 그들에게 한없는 위로와 축복을 내려 주시옵기를 간절히 바라고 원합니다.

하나님 다시 주님 앞에 기도하오니 우리 부모님 세대와 그리고 전 세대들이 지은 죄악을 회개 합니다.

"Call to Me" to the New Year's United Prayer Meeting

Jeremiah 33
2. Thus saith the LORD who does the work, the LORD who makes it and fulfills it, and whose name is the LORD.
3. Call to me and I will answer you and show you great and mighty things that you do not know.

These verses that I memorize, keep, asure and often quote in the prayer. Every time I read this verse, I feel God's presence even when I close my eyes, and the loud voice of God's command pierces my ears. This is the word of command and promise given to Eremi, but I believe it is because the word of the Logos is knocking on my heart with the word of Lema.

Today, the Washington State 2023 New Year's Prayer Meeting will be held at the First Presbyterian Church in Federal Way, and as I take the order of prayer and in the hour for preparations hearing the Lord's voice and feeling Father's presence.

Almighty God the Father, who alone presides over human life and death,
Thank you for giving us a healthy New Year in 2023 and for blessing us to live according to the mission the Lord has allowed us to live.

Please open the door of heaven and send blessings from heaven to the Republic of Korea, United States of America the homeland of our lives, and to the people living scattered all over the world, especially the 7.5 million diaspora.

For the sake of the American Dream and for the future and education of their children, the Lord is well aware of the reality of the lives of the immigrants of their parents' generation who have come to this land, are prepared for hardships, and are living hard with diligence and sincerity. I earnestly hope and want you to watch over us.

Please grant them the blessing of spiritual faith.
May the blessings that you gave to Abraham, the first immigrant's ancestor of faith, be given to us as well.

Genesis 12
1. The LORD said to Abram, "Go from your country and from your relatives and from your father's house to the land I will show you.
2. I will make of you a great nation, and I will bless you, and I will make your name great, and you will be a blessing.
3. I will bless those who bless you, and whoever curses you I will curse; all peoples on earth will be blessed through you.

God, please help me to dream of the Kingdom Dream beyond the American Dream.
Like Abraham, let us be blessed and live as a channel of blessing that flows to many people.
Please fill us with the word and make it a channel of the gospel to many people.

God, at this time, we place our children in the hands of the Lord.

Psalm 110
3. On the day of Your power, Your people wear holy garments and offer themselves joyfully. Your young men like the dew of the morning come to You.

Father, please let your young people yearn for your house like the morning dew and become a lamp that illuminates the darkness in the world. Raise up the young men of faith who wake up and shine in the rebellious reality where God's creation order collapses.

God, as I pray before the Lord again, I repent of the sins of my parents' generation and previous generations.
Please forgive the sins that are harmful to you and others, such as unbelief, hatred, jealousy, resentment, root drawing, and lies, and cover them with the power of the blood of Jesus Christ.

1 John 1
9. If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness.

We praise God who hears and answers our petitions and prayers, and we earnestly pray for all these words in the name of Jesus, who is the eternal hope of all mankind. Amen

"감사하면 생기는 기적"

골로새서 3장
15. 그리스도의 평강이 너희 마음을 주장하게 하라 너희는 평강을 위하여 한 몸으로 부르심을 받았나니 너희는 또한 감사하는 자가 되라
16. 그리스도의 말씀이 너희 속에 풍성히 거하여 모든 지혜로 피차 가르치며 권면하고 시와 찬송과 신령한 노래를 부르며 감사하는 마음으로 하나님을 찬양하고
17. 또 무엇을 하든지 말에나 일에나 다 주 예수의 이름으로 하고 그를 힘입어 하나님 아버지께 감사하라

오늘 주신 하나님의 말씀 가운데 3 절 모두 하나님께 감사하라고 권면하고 있습니다.
나는 청년의 때부터 신념처럼 생각하는 것이 감사는 다른 믿음의 표현이라고 하는 것입니다. 지나고 보면 내가 존경하고 믿음 있는 자들은 모두 예외 없이 감사하는 자들이었습니다.

오늘따라 감사의 마음이 마음이 맘속 깊은 곳에서 주체할 수 없이 올라 습니다.

예수 그리스도를 이 땅에 보내 주시고 영원히 죽을 수밖에 없는 죄인을 구원하게 해주신 하나님의 은혜가 참으로 감사합니다.
우리가 아직 죄인 되었을 때에, 하나님과 원수 되었을 때, 우리가 아직 연약할 때에 그 아들 예수 그리스도를 이 땅에 보내주시고 십자가에서 죽게 하시 므로 하나님의 사랑을 확정해주셔서 감사합니다.

아버지 오늘도 감사함을 주님께 표현하며 새로운 감사의 능력을 우리에게 허락해 주심을 감사를 드립니다.

여러분은 혹시 경험 해보신 적이 있으신지요?
미국 마이애미 대학 심리학 교수 마이클 맥클로우는 "잠깐 멈춰 서서 우리에게 주어진 상황에 대해 감사함을 생각해보는 순간 당신의 감정 시스템은 이미 두려움에서 탈출해 아주 좋은 상태로 이동하고 있는 것" 이라고 말하였습니다.

오늘도 감사함으로 두려움이 물러가고, 맘의 평강을 누리며 하나님을 찬양하며 감사의 통로로 사는 삶이 되기를기도 합니다.

"Miracle happens when you give thanks"

Colossians 3
15. Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, since as members of one body you were called to peace. Be also thankful.
16. Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly, teaching and admonishing one another in all wisdom, singing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs with thanksgiving in your hearts to God.
17. And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.

Among the words of God given today, all three verses exhort us to give thanks to God.
Since I was a young man, I have thought of it as a firm belief, and gratitude is another expression of belief. Looking back, all the people I respect and trust were the ones thankful for without exception.

Today, a feeling of gratitude rises from the depths of my heart uncontrollably.

I am truly grateful for the grace of God who sent Jesus Christ to this earth and saved sinners who had no choice but to die forever.
Thank you for confirming God's love by sending His Son, Jesus Christ, to this earth and dying on the cross when we were still sinners, when we were enemies of God, and when we were still weak.

Father, we express our gratitude to the Lord today and give thanks for allowing us a new ability of gratitude.

Have you ever experienced the following?
Michael McClew, a professor of psychology at the University of Miami, USA, said, "The moment you stop for a moment and think about being grateful for the situation you are given, your emotional system is already moving out of fear and into a very good state."

Today, I pray that fear will go away with gratitude, and that it will be a life that lives as a passage of gratitude while praising God with peace of mind.

5. 여호와는 너를 지키시는 이시라 여호와께서 네 오른쪽에서 네 그늘이 되시나니

시편 121 편은 예루살렘 성전을 향하여 올라가는 순례자들이 드린 노래였다. 당시의 순례는 요즘의 여행과 다른 차원으로 예루살렘 성전에 올라가는 순례자에게 가장 중요한 것은 하나님께서 지켜주신다는 확신을 갖는 일이다.

어떤 면에서 우리도 순례자의 길을 걷는 사람들이다. 우리의 본향 천국, 예루 살림 성전으로 향하여 하루하루 걸어간다.

오늘 하루를 책임지고 인도 하실 하나님을 바라보며 새벽에 만나시는 하나님과 친밀함 속에 하루를 힘 있게 시작한다.

어떤 순간에도 하나님이 우리를 지키시며 보호해주실 것이라는 것을 믿는 확신 속에서 나는 자유함을 누린다.

주님께서 만드신 자연들과 만물들 신년 초에 새로운 기분으로 산을 향하여 눈을 들어 그 땅을 밟는 느낌으로 산행하며 주님의 지키심을 만끽한다.

"The LORD is your keeper"
Words given while preparing for the first hike of the new year.

Psalm 121
1. I will raise my eyes toward the mountains, where will my help come from?
2. My help comes from the LORD, who made the heavens and the earth.
3. The Lord will not let you stumble, and he who keeps you will not slumber.
4. He who keeps Israel neither slumbers nor sleeps.
5. The LORD is your keeper; the LORD is your shade at your right hand.
6. The sun by day will not harm you, nor the moon by night.
7. The Lord will keep you from all trouble, and will keep your soul.
8. The Lord will guard your coming and going from now on and forevermore.

Psalm 121 is a song sung by pilgrims on their way to the temple in Jerusalem. The pilgrimage at that time was on a different level from today's travel, and the most important thing for pilgrims going up to the Temple of Jerusalem is to have the conviction that God will protect them.

In a way, we too are pilgrims. We walk day by day toward our hometown, heaven, the Jerusalem Temple.

Looking at God who will take responsibility for the day and guide us, we start the day with strength in intimacy with God who meets at dawn.

I enjoy freedom in the confidence of believing that God will protect and protect us at any moment.

I raise my eyes toward the mountain with a new feeling at the beginning of the new year to feel nature and all things created by the Lord.

"마음의 평강을 얻으려면"

(Proverbs 3:1-2)
My son, don’t forget my teaching; but let your heart keep my commandments:
for length of days, and years of life, and peace, will they add to you.

[잠언 3:1~2] 내 아들아 나의 법을 잊어버리지 말고 네 마음으로 나의 명령을 지키라 그리하면 그것이 네가 장수하여 많은 해를 누리게 하며 평강을 더하게 하리라

하나님께서 희망의 새해를 우리 모두에게 선물로 주셨습니다. 사랑의 선물입니다. 햇볕과 공기를 만물에게 공평하게 주신것과 마찬가지입니다. 이 선물은 누구나 받지만 모두가 누리는 것은 아닙니다.

연초가 되면 대부분의 사람들은 새해의 각오와 결심을 하게 됩니다. 여기에는 연령의 차이가 없습니다. 나 자신을 위하여, 타인을 위하여, 사회와 국가를 위하여 등 내가 해야 할 일을 결심하는 경우가 많습니다.

이런 결심의 궁극적인 목적은 이 세상 사는 동안 건강 장수하며 마음의 평강을 누리며 행복하게 살기 위한 것이 아니겠습니까?

현대 사람들은 개인의 건강을 위하여 신경을 많이 씁니다. 그래서 운동도 열심히 하고, 음식도 건강에 좋은 것으로 가려서 적당하게 섭취하고, 건강 보조 음식도 많이 들면서 건강을 유지하는 데 최선을 다하고 있는 모습을 봅니다.
그 동안 팬데믹으로 닫혀 있었던 피트니스 센터도 재개하여 많은 사람들이 운동을 지속적으로 하며 체력을 단련합니다. 연세가 많으신 분들은 걷기 운동에 열심히 하는 모습을 볼며 엄지척을 올립니다.

열심으로 남을 배려하는 삶, 지혜롭게 하는 말, 서로 믿고 존경하는 마음의 표시, 이런 것들도 나의 일과 목표를 성취하기 위해 열심을 내는 것과 더불어 참으로 중요하다고 생각됩니다.
오늘의 말씀은 사람이 장수하고 마음의 평강을 누릴 수 있는 법에 대해서 말씀 합니다.

내 아들아 나의 법을 잊어버리지 말고 네 마음으로 나의 명령을 지키라 그리하면 그것이 네가 장수하여 많은 해를 누리게 하며 평강을 더하게 하리라

오늘 하루도 주 안에서 평강을 누리시길 바랍니다.

"To Get Peace of Mind"

[Proverbs 3:1~2] My son, do not forget my law, but keep my commands in your heart, and they will prolong your life and bring you many years and peace.

God has given us all a New Year of hope as a gift. It is a gift of love. It is the same as giving sunlight and air equally to all things. Everyone receives this gift, but not everyone enjoys it.

At the beginning of the year, most people make resolutions and resolutions for the new year. There is no age difference here. There are many cases where I decide what I have to do, such as for myself, for others, for society and the country.

I'sn't the ultimate goal of such a resolution to live a long, healthy life, peace of mind, and happiness while living in this world?

Modern people care and concern a lot about personal health. That's why I see them doing their best to maintain their health by exercising hard, eating healthy foods in moderation, and eating a lot of health supplements.
In the meantime, the fitness center, which was closed due to the pandemic, has also reopened, so many people continue to exercise and train their stamina. I express thumbs up while watching seniors are walking hard.

A life of caring for others with zeal, words of wisdom, signs of a heart that trusts and respects each other, I think these things are really important along with being zealous to achieve my work and goals.

Today's verse talks about how people can live long and enjoy peace of mind.

My son, do not forget my law, but keep my commandments in your heart, and they will prolong your life and bring you many years and peace.
