Day 7 Updates:
We had an awesome day in downtown Gallup. We started the day with a hike. Some groups went to feed the homeless, some finished some work projects, and one group experienced a Zuni tribal ceremony. Other shopped, went to the Gallup cultural museum, we ate lunch in a park, and roller skated. We’ll end today in worship, and then a giant game of night ultimate frisbee.

We leave early tomorrow and will hit the flea market on the way out. Hope to be home by 8.

God has been super kind to us on this trip. We’ve grown closer to each other and God. We learned much about Native culture. I’m thankful for all the leaders and there love for the kids and their servant hearts.

Day 5 Updates:
We had another afternoon thunderstorm and derailed a few worksites. We had some kids on a hike get caught in it but made it back safe.

But we did some good work today. Morning devotions, students painted and cleaned the school, a group beautified and helped a cemetery with flooding by packing sandbags, another group fed the homeless, a group worked at a food pantry all day organizing food, and we ended our night in worship.

The students and leaders are tired but are doing great work and have great attitudes. Thankful for the ways I see God working in and through them.

DR Updates Day 4:
Our day started with breakfast at 7, devotions, and half the group did a ropes course, and the others started at worksites.

After lunch we had a huge rain storm and had to cancel some worksites outside. But, students and leaders were still able to feed the homeless, paint inside the school, and build a wall for the elementary school.

We are finishing our evening in worship and then free time. God is good, and doing a deep work in all of us as we learn about life in Rehobeth and how to serve well.

Day 3: Updates
Our day started with breakfast, church devotions, and then a ropes course. And worksites. The students and leaders are picking up trash on highway 66, painting rooms in a retirement home, serving at a food pantry, doing some cleaning of Rehobeth Christian school, giving out food and resources to the homeless, and other projects.

Day 2: Evening Updates
Our afternoon involved watching the World Cup. The kids mocked me for rooting for Argentina.

We intended to go on various hikes in the afternoon but encountered a thunderstorm. We headed into the gym for games, kids did artwork, and others did a hike around campus.

The evening ended with dinner, and a great time of worship, and teaching about the women who had a blood disease and was healed by Jesus. A great reminder that we are seen and belong to God and he calls us daughters and sons.

Tomorrow we head out into the community to do various service projects. Continue to pray!

Day 2 Morning Update:
We journeyed to a local church in town for worship, lunch, and now World Cup watch party and chill time. Hikes in the afternoon.

Rosewood threw a classy party for the retirement of Pastor Bonny Mulder-Behnia on June 7, after serving the church for 24.5 years on the pastoral team. What a great church!
