And in the midst of tragedy, the work continues.

In just the last two weeks, our team has received 6 babies in desperate need of infant formula.

🍼Blanca is 6 weeks old. Her mother has severe postpartum health complications and can't breastfeed.
🍼Princesse is malnourished and dehydrated and weighs just 5 pounds at one month old. Her mother also died in childbirth.

Thank you so much to everyone who stepped up for Antoine yesterday. You gave over $1,000 to help with his funeral, family expenses, and celebration of life service - thank you so, so much. His funeral is today. Please lift up his family and our staff in prayer as they grieve and say goodbye. 🙏🏼

Last week, our CHM family suffered a heartbreaking loss. Our beloved facilities manager, Antoine — “Ti Kabrit” (Little Goat) — passed away suddenly from a hemorrhagic stroke.

He leaves behind a wife, an 8-year-old daughter, extended family who depended on him, and a CHM community who loved him deeply.

For nearly 10 years, Antoine cared for our clinic, grounds, staff, and patients with joy, humility, and incredible dedication. There wasn’t a corner of CHM he didn’t touch with his kindness.

This Giving Tuesday, we’re doing something different.

We’re asking our community to help support Antoine’s family as they face this tragic loss.

Your gift today will help cover funeral costs, provide for his wife and daughter in the coming months, and allow us to host a Celebration of Life at the clinic next week so staff and patients can grieve and honor him together.

Update: Antoine passed away early this afternoon. Your prayers for all affected are appreciated.

Urgent prayers needed for Antoine! He had a stroke this moring and is currently unresponsive Antoine aka Ti Kabrit “little goat” has been part of the CHM family for almost 10 years and is a vital part of keeping things running smoothly as we face all kinds of challenges. Please pray he wakes up and we can get some diagnostic info on what’s going on.

Ketchnaïda was 8 months old, 10 pounds, and barely hanging on to life when she came to CHM this summer. After just 2 months of treatment with Medika Mamba she had gained almost 4 pounds and regained the sparkle in her eyes. Your support changes lives!
