Trinity Lime Rock

Trinity Lime Rock Trinity Lime Rock: Offering companionship along the Way. Trinity is located in the hamlet of Lime Rock, in the town of Salisbury, Litchfield County, CT.

Our parishioners come from Lime Rock, neighboring towns in Connecticut, southern Massachusetts, and Dutchess and Columbia Counties in New York -- as well as New York City in both our in-person and our virtual congregations. We welcome visitors from all our various communities, and, via the web and social media, from all over the world. We have resumed our normal service schedule: Holy Eucharist at

8 AM and 10:30 AM Sundays. The choir sings at the 10:30 service. The 10:30 AM service is livestreamed. Each Sunday we also have coffee hour at 11:30 AM both in person and via Zoom. Bible Study, also via Zoom, meets at 12:30 PM Thursdays. Find Zoom info in the weekly Trinity Update email. You can sign up to receive this on our website, www.trinitylimerock.org. Sunday School has resumed, at a new time, 9 AM. This timeslot was previously adult Bible Study, but since Bible Study is now via Zoom, the time slot between our Sunday Services was open -- so the Rector now conducts Sunday School classes then. One per month, at 4 PM, Trinity hosts a Misa for our Latino congregation, conducted by Padre Juan, as the Rev. John Carter is known. Currently meeting at Trinity are Crescendo, as well as chapters of Overeaters Anonymous and Alcoholics Anonymous (just for women). The parish hosts art shows throughout the year. Crescendo, founded at Trinity and based here, also uses Trinity as one of its concert venues. There's a lot going on at Trinity! Come see us, or let us hear from you!!

Good news! Welcome home, Bishop Mello, and your companions!

“The Lord shall watch over your going out and your coming in, from this time forth for evermore.” — Psalm 121:8

We are grateful to have just landed safely in New York after our flight from Jordan. We have felt deeply supported by all of your prayers for us. And we are grateful for your prayers for our siblings in the Holy Land, and for all living under the threat of violence and war right now.

We look forward to sharing with you about our pilgrimage in the weeks to come.

Please continue to pray for a swift, just, and peaceful end to this conflict, and for all peoples of the Holy Land who remain in harm’s way.

May the peace that passes all understanding be upon them, from Jerusalem to the ends of the earth.

Rt. Rev. Jeffrey W. Mello, Bishop Diocesan, Episcopal Church in Connecticut
Rev. Ryan C. Fleenor, Rector, St. Luke’s, Darien

An Update from the Holy Land:

After a day of sheltering in place at St. George’s in Jerusalem, our ECCT pilgrims were able to cross over into Jordan at the famous Allenby Bridge border crossing. The airport in Amman is still open and we are waiting for the first available flight. We hope to be able to return home this week.

We are deeply grateful for all of the prayers offered for our safety and speedy return. And we ask you to continue to pray with us for peace, and for those innocent people across the region who cannot escape the violence of war so easily. May God protect them and bring peace to the land of the Holy One.

About Trinity Lime Rock

Trinity is located in the hamlet of Lime Rock, in the town of Salisbury, Litchfield County, CT. Our parishioners come from Lime Rock, neighboring towns in Connecticut, southern Massachusetts, and Dutchess and Columbia Counties in New York -- as well as New York City. We welcome visitors from all our various communities, and, via the web and social media, from all over the world.

Helping those in need in our various communities is a big part of our parish life, and we often collaborate with other area organizations in these efforts. Here at Trinity, we’re the home base of Crescendo, which began at Trinity more than a decade ago. We have activities for young people every Sunday (Sunday School during the school year, and Summer Sports in the summer, as well as one youth Sunday per month year round when the kids run most of the service) and our young people also select a community organization to help each year with their volunteer time. Our choir sings year round.

Our worship style is best described as “broad church” -- touches of high church, and bits of spontaneity as well. And yes, we welcome babies and small children, and we do realize that most of them occasionally fuss.

Our motto is a bit unusual for a church, but we think it sums us up pretty well:
