In this fun-filled few days, kids will discover that being different isn’t something to hide, it’s part of God’s amazing design. Through exciting worship, high-energy games, interactive Bible adventures, and unforgettable moments with friends, every child will learn that they are chosen, loved, and perfectly placed in God’s story!

Each day is designed to help kids grow in faith while having a blast. Expect laughter, movement, creativity, and powerful truths made simple and memorable!

This past Wednesday, we had an amazing time watching creativity, teamwork, and friendly competition on full display as our kids raced their cars with so much excitement and joy.
We’re especially proud of all our winners this year, your hard work and effort truly showed! 🏆👏

Big thank you to everyone who helped make this event possible, leaders, volunteers, families, and friends. You made it special from start to finish.

THE JOURNEY DOESN’T END HERE 👀✨

Hey Kids @ The WORD 💛We made it through Holy Week together… and WOW. What a journey.

We learned about Jesus’ love, His sacrifice, and the biggest plot twist EVER…..

He didn’t stay in the grave. 🙌

But here’s the thing…👉 THIS is not the end of the story.👉 This is just the beginning.

Your walk with Jesus isn’t just something we talk about at church….it’s something you LIVE every day. In how you love people, how you show kindness, and how you choose to follow Him even when it’s hard.

So keep going.Keep learning.Keep praying.Keep shining. ✨

EASTER SUNDAY: THE GREATEST SURPRISE 🤯✨

Okay but imagine this…
You show up expecting one thing… and God completely flips the script.

That’s Easter. ✝️

Jesus’ friends went to the tomb thinking it was over.
Like… done. Finished. No more hope.

But then??
The stone = rolled away
The tomb = EMPTY
The news = JESUS IS ALIVE 🙌

Not a metaphor. Not a “feel good story.”
REAL. LIFE. POWER.

And everything changed.

Their fear turned into joy.
Their sadness turned into hope.
Their confusion turned into “WAIT… GOD DID WHAT?!”🎤

And here’s the best part….
That same power? It’s still alive today. 💪

So when life feels heavy…
When things don’t make sense…
When it feels like hope is gone…

Easter reminds us:
God isn’t finished.
He’s still moving.
And NOTHING is impossible for Him. 💥

Because Jesus is alive,
you have hope. 🩵
you are loved. 🥰
you are never alone. 💗

Now that’s the greatest surprise EVER.

SATURDAY: THE QUIET DAY 🤍

Hey Kids @ The WORD 💛

Have you ever had a day that just felt… quiet? 🤫 Like you didn’t have answers, didn’t understand what was going on, or things just felt heavy and weird ?

That’s what Saturday was like after Jesus died.

Everything went silent.His friends were sad. 😞 Confused. Heartbroken.They didn’t understand what was happening or what was coming next.

Meanwhile, guards were placed at Jesus’ tomb because people remembered He said He would rise again… but no one really knew how it would all play out.

Saturday was a day of waiting.A day where it felt like nothing was happening.

But here’s the truth 👇✨ God was STILL working.

Even when it looked dark.Even when it felt quiet.Even when nobody could see it. 👀

And in our lives? We have “Saturday” moments too.

Moments where we feel unsure.Moments where we’re sad or confused.Moments where we’re just waiting…

But just like then….God hasn’t stopped.He’s moving behind the scenes, working everything out for good 💛

So if today feels quiet…If you don’t have all the answers…If you’re sad and feel unseen.

👉 You can trust Him.👉 He’s with you.👉 He’s not done.

💭 Think about it:• How do you feel when things are quiet or confusing?• How can you trust God even when you don’t see what He’s doing?

Alright Kids @ The WORD fam… let’s talk about Good Friday…..and yeah, it’s heavy… but it’s also EVERYTHING. ❤️🔥

Jesus went through pain, betrayal, and the cross… not because He had to but, because He chose YOU……let that hit for a second.

He knew every mistake, every bad day, every moment we’d mess up… and STILL said,
“I’ll take it.”

That’s not just love… that’s real love. The kind that doesn’t quit on you. The kind that fights for you when you don’t even realize you need it.

And even on the cross, in the middle of all that pain, He was still thinking about others. Forgiving people. Loving people. Showing us what it looks like to live different. 💗

“It is finished.”
Not “I’m done” but “I paid it all.” 🙌

So what do we do with that?

We don’t just say “thanks” and move on.
We live different.
We love people better.
We forgive quicker.
We remember that we are NEVER alone and NEVER forgotten.

And hey… if today feels heavy, that’s okay. Good Friday is meant to make us pause and feel it. 😭

BUT don’t stay stuck there…

Because Friday happened…
✨ BUT SUNDAY IS COMING ✨

And that changes EVERYTHING. 🙌

🖤 We’re coming together for our Good Friday service at our main campus (starts at 5pm) don’t miss it! Bring your people, bring your family, come ready to worship and remember what Jesus did for us.

Happy world autism awareness day // The WORD at Lakeside, The WORD at Springtown, The WORD @ Aledo and Kids at The WORD want you to know with every child “we see the able not the label”. The label may inform us how to reach but it does not limit us in reaching every child.

Proverbs 31:8-9 says “Speak up for those who cannot speak for themselves, for the rights of all who are destitute. Speak up and judge fairly; defend the rights of the poor and needy.”

We believe as the body of Christ it is our job to bring the gospel to those who can't speak for themselves. The gospel doesn’t change how we present it changes. We believe as we present the gospel in an abstract way that all kids, no matter the disability will be taught to emanate, so that one day they will speak the Word themselves.

We educate our staff, volunteers, church body, and we encourage YOU to continue to grow in knowledge about the lives around you.

Thursday: The Realest Love

Okay let’s talk about it…

Jesus had a whole moment with His friends at dinner (aka the Last Supper)… but it wasn’t just about the food. It was about love 💗, sacrifice, and serving others in a way nobody expected.

Like… imagine your leader, your GOAT 🐐,your hero…
getting down and washing your dirty feet. 😳

Yeah. Jesus did that.

Not for show. Not for likes. Not because He had to.
But because love serves.

💭 Real Talk Moment:
Sometimes we think being important means being the boss and first!
Jesus said nah… being important means being willing to SERVE! 💪

Even when it’s uncomfortable.
Even when nobody notices.
Even when you feel like, “That’s not my job.”

🍞 The Bread & The Cup
Jesus also shared bread and a cup and basically said:
“I’m about to give everything for you.”

That’s next-level love. 💕
Not fake. Not temporary.
Sacrificial. Forever.

🌿 Then things got heavy…
Jesus went to pray, knowing hard things were coming.

His friends?
They fell asleep 😅

But Jesus?
He stayed faithful. Stayed chill and calm. Stayed trusting God.

Even when it was scary.

💡 What This Means For You:
• You don’t have to be “the best” to be used by God
• Serving others = showing Jesus
• You can trust God even when life feels hard
• Love isn’t just words… it’s action

🙌 Challenge Today:
• Help someone without being asked
• Be kind to someone who gets overlooked
• Pray when things feel stressful instead of shutting down
• Choose love… even when it’s not easy

🎤 Remember:
Jesus didn’t just say He loved you…
He PROVED it! 🤏🏼
