The Florida Conference of The United Methodist Church Disaster Recovery Ministry is closely monitoring the latest National Hurricane Center outlook.

Current Outlook:

A disturbance near the Bahamas shows a less than 10% chance of development in the next 7 days.
Another area of possible development is located in the central Atlantic.

We will continue to track updates and provide information as conditions evolve.

We encourage everyone to remain prepared and prayerful during this hurricane season. Please follow trusted sources such as the National Hurricane Center (www.hurricanes.gov

We continue to lift our neighbors in Pinellas County in prayer as they begin the hard work of cleaning up after yesterday’s tornadoes.

We’ve been in contact with local leaders, and at this time, they’ve shared that no additional assistance is needed. We will stay connected and ready to support if that changes.

Please keep the affected communities in your thoughts and prayers in the days ahead.
