Pastor in on her way back from a conference, so we still have a "DIY Devotion" today. Read John 8:31-36. Ponder it. How does it make you feel?

Pastor is away at a conference (but will be back before worship on Sunday), so we have "DIY Devotions" this week. Today's scripture reading is Romans 3:19-28. Read it. Ponder it. Besides verse 28, what else "speaks to you" today?

Pastor is away at a conference this week (don't worry, she'll be back before Sunday), so we have "DIY Devotions" this week. Today's scripture passage is Jeremiah 31:31-34. Read it, ponder it, and then answer this question: "Is God's law written on your heart?"

Presiding Bishop Yehiel Curry has issued a statement on the recent proposal to livestream an ex*****on in the United States.

"As a church, we are not strangers to the mournful effects of violent crime. Our congregations minister to victims, to offenders and to communities that experience the ripple effects of its trauma. We recognize the need to protect people from violence, to call perpetrators to repentance, and to seek restoration for victims. United in our resistance to hate and in our joy over the good news of God’s grace, we minister to an often-vengeful society with words and actions of hope, justice and healing."

Our first "Lunch & ___" event for senior citizens and those who love them took place today. Future sessions will be on the 2nd and 4th Wednesdays of each month, so join us when you can! Today, we had delicious food (a pasta station two kinds of pasta, three kinds of sauce, and four protein sources PLUS lasagna, salad, and garlic bread from Olive Garden; croissant sandwiches, fresh veggies, fruit tarts, and cookies from Publix), a fun craft (fall-themed woven placemats), great conversation, and a preview of five upcoming sessions. Attendees took leftovers to have another meal or to share with their neighbors and family.

Matthew 22:15-22 is the featured reading for today's Bible-based devotion. What belongs to Ceasar? God?
