Today, September 8th, the Church celebrates the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary. Her birth announced the approaching dawn of salvation, for through Mary, God prepared the way for the coming of his Son.

On this joyful feast, may we follow Mary’s example of humility, trust, and faithful obedience to God.

Blessed Mother, pray for us and lead us always closer to Jesus.

The Season of Creation Begins Today!

Each year, Christians throughout the world observe the Season of Creation, beginning on September 1 with the World Day of Prayer for the Care of Creation and continuing through October 4, the Feast of St. Francis of Assisi.

The theme for 2026 is “Living Water,” inspired by Ezekiel 47:1–12, where life-giving water flows from the Temple, bringing healing, renewal, and abundant life wherever it goes.

For Catholics, care for creation is more than simply caring about the environment. It is an expression of our faith in God the Creator. The earth and all that lives upon it are gifts entrusted to our care. How we use those gifts affects our neighbors, especially the poor and vulnerable, and the generations who will come after us.

As Pope Leo XIV reminds us on this World Day of Prayer, we are invited to “contemplate the gift of life and cherish the earth that sustains it.”

This morning, we had the honor of hosting Bishop Noonan, Fr. Tim, Fr. Glenn, Fr. Zackary Parker and other Chancery Officials to visit our school for Mass and then to bless the 4 new school buildings. In addition, Mrs. Haas presented Fr. Tim with a plaque that will hang in the School Office Building honoring his commitment to Catholic Education.
