Somos Church exists to uncover and support the value of every person possible. We believe that every human holds value as people created in God's image. This means that every human holds the potential to offer an expression of God's love in the world as no other created person can, which makes EVERYONE extremely valuable. Somos Church is led by founding Pastors Coy and Brooklyn Lindsey. Currently,

Every Easter families take photos next to the FOR LKLD mural installed for us. How did we get so lucky? It’s a reminder that Jesus’ love is for us (all of us) and because of that love, we can continue to learn how to love each other. You don’t have to attend Somos to stop and take a picture. We want you to know that you can be too.

Oh, and these soon to be parents, Bianca and Watkins, are leaders on our worship team. Bianca works at and Watkins is a middle school teacher at Lakeland Highlands Middle School. They are precious, kind, and prayerful. I’m sure they would love to meet you.

2026 • This will be our tenth Easter together. It wasn’t so long ago that we didn’t have a place called Somos. It wasn’t so long ago that we didn’t know if we’d survive ten days. We are grateful for every person, every family, ever partner who has invested in the ministry that says “Jesus is for you” in our city. We aren’t big or fancy or multi-million. But we are multi-ethnic, multi-personality, mulit-background, multi-storied, and multi-miracle. We are Church. We hope you will be too.

THANKFUL! Thanks to everyone who stayed after church on Sunday to pack weekend meals for the middle schoolers in our city who desperately need our support. It’s been over ten years and there have been thousands of lives touched with the love and compassion of Jesus because you said yes with your time and resources. You. Are. Church. 💙

Church isn’t a place we go—it’s a people shaped by God’s work in the world.
And maybe freedom from brokenness looks like that lived out every day:
doing justice, loving mercy, and walking humbly together, right where we are, in everything we do.

You’ll find us in our city, in coffee shops, in schools. We are church, together, and we humbly do our best to be for each other.

(Throwback to 2020. Mikayla is now a senior, the class President at Lakeland High School. We are so proud of her leadership. We’re so grateful for her life and story.)

Our dream is and always has been to support the story of God already unfolding in every person we meet. We hope you see the potential you have, wherever you are no matter what you do.
