We are less than 2 weeks away from Vacation Bible School! We have many wonderful Youth and Adult volunteers who will be giving their time that week to help the children have a wonderful experience growing deeper in their faith at VBS! During the week Youth and Adult volunteers get breaks, and we love to provide many yummy snacks to thank them! If you are able to donate snacks for VBS, please click the links below to sign up. Snacks can be dropped off to the Children's Check-In desk. If you are donating cold items or baked goods, please let us know when you would like to drop them off so that we can plan accordingly. There are so many hands helping behind the scenes to make VBS come to life! We are so grateful for children, youth, and adults who take time out of their week to help with whatever it is we need! Less than 2 weeks until winter arrives at First UMC Lakeland and we can’t wait! ❄️

Today we KICked off our summer in KIC Start where we will be learning about Spiritual Practices all summer long with our K-5th graders! This week we introduced two types of prayers: Silent Prayer and Journaling. We practiced silent prayer together and then the kids got to make their own prayer journals with prayer prompts they can use. Our younger classes are also having fun and growing in their faith this summer! Our 3 and 4 year old class is learning about the Fruits of the Spirit and our 2 year old class is finishing up learning about creation over the few weeks. We would love to see you next Sunday!

We can’t wait for our first KIC Summer Hangout tomorrow! Join us anytime between 9:30-11:30 AM. We will have free time, story time at 10 AM and then fun crafts for kids to complete! Tomorrow we will be looking at love with one of Miss Megan’s favorite books: Love Monster! Parents/guardians will also have time to connect with others in KIC Ministry as we ask that all parents/guardians stay during these events.
