Much of the church demands a repentance that is based on your self effort and striving for holiness and God's Love. It is rooted in the fear of divine anger and judgement. It is remorseful, well -intentioned but powerless to produce Fruit. Hoped for righteousness, Love and relational influence can only be REVEALED in us by the Indwelling Spirit of Christ... BUT only as we believe, stop striving, & yield to Jesus with us.

The " out working" of this new gifted reality is that you illustrate Christ Presence in your new mindset and behaviors. You exercise authority over your weak-sinned proned flesh.You enjoy the Fruit of the Spirit as your own emotions as well. Healing the soul and body is the demonstration of being Redeemed by Christ!

Be aware that " powerless repentance" may be full of remorse and sorrow... but still have the remaining bo***ge to that sin. The grace of the Gospel truth frees people from from the dominance of sin into the freedom of the Fruit of the Spirit: Love..self-control and many other demonstrations of real personal righteousness. Personal growth in righteousness is the outworking of God's Grace to change believers through the Gospel... by faith, and does not require moaning at the alter for God "to move" with forgiveness.

Be aware of " powerless repentance"... the emphasis on your sin and the need to "just repent" begging forgiveness. Many churches rightly call for repentance but fail to reveal what we are to TURN TO. We repent from dead works religion to the Fulfilling Work and WORKING of CHRIST FOR us and IN us!.

A double-minded person cannot receive what Christ has made available...choose to be a doer of the Word a believer in the realities that the Word describes. Refuse to pack your life with comfort and entertainment when Treasures are your heavenly inheritance to travel with!
