Promotion Sunday is just around the corner! Sunday, August 10th kids will move up to their new classes. Check your email next week for more information about the '25-'26 ministry year in Heritage Kids!

This Saturday evening and Sunday afternoon, we will be holding leader training for those who work in our Elementary/Preschool Program and also those who work in the Nursery.

Elementary and Preschool Leader Training | August 24 - This training will be held in the FLC Stadium room from 5-7:30pm. Please use Elexio to let us know if you will be able to make it. Dinner and childcare will be provided.

Nursery Leader Training | August 25 - This training will be held in the FLC Stadium room from 12-1:30pm. Please use Elexio to let us know if you will be able to make it. Lunch and childcare will be provided.

Parents of rising kindergarteners...you're invited to join us as we celebrate these kids! As our rising K5 class embarks on a new adventure in school, we want to celebrate their promotion from preschool to elementary. The celebration will be on August 11, following the worship service, from 11:45am-1:00pm in the FLC. The afternoon will include lunch, a bounce house, and a short ceremony. Please RSVP in Elexio.

The leaders had a fun competition in our kids’ ministry this past Wednesday night, demonstrating how people can’t close the gap sin creates between God/man. Jesus was the only one able to.

Park Meet Ups | March & April

Moms & Kids: Come out to an upcoming park meet up date to connect while the kids play.
Afternoons: Fridays, March 1 & April 12 @ Bonnet Springs from 3:00-4:30pm (Meet at the owl)

Mornings: Thursdays, March 7 & April 25 @ Dobbins Park 9:00-10:30am

Heritage Kids' Ministry is excited to welcome Katie Abbott as the new Director of Children’s Ministries. She started this week.

Katie and her husband have three children (ages 10, 9 & 5). They relocated to Lakeland from the northern state of Minnesota where she previously worked in children’s ministries at a church for six years. She is very much looking forward to our warmer winters! As a family, they enjoy spending time outside, playing games and traveling.

Be sure to say hello and introduce yourselves to the Abbott family!
