Tonight, Pastor Massey continued our Sunday Evening series, “Tell Me the WHY of Hymns,” with the timeless hymn “At Calvary.”

We were reminded that Calvary is where:

✝️ Our pride is confronted.
📖 God’s Word brings conviction.
🙌 Mercy, grace and pardon bring liberty.
👑 Surrender gives us a new King and a new song.
❤️ God’s love spanned the mighty gulf between sinful humanity and a holy God.

The answer for the sinner is still Calvary.
The answer for the backslider is still Calvary.
The answer for the burdened believer is still Calvary.
And the answer for our broken world is still Calvary!

Mercy there was great, and grace was free;
Pardon there was multiplied to me;
There my burdened soul found liberty—AT CALVARY!

Thank God for the cross, the blood and the freedom we have found at Calvary!

This morning, Pastor Massey preached a powerful message entitled “From Sunny Skies to a Man’s Hand” from 1 Kings 18:41–46! 🙌🔥

Elijah heard the sound of an abundance of rain before there was ever a cloud in the sky. After his servant looked again and again, on the seventh time he finally saw something—a little cloud about the size of a man’s hand. That small sign was enough for Elijah to know: THE RAIN WAS COMING! 🌧️

Maybe you’ve been praying, believing, and waiting, but all you can see are sunny skies. LOOK AGAIN! Don’t despise the small sign. Don’t quit on the sixth trip when God may have your breakthrough waiting on the seventh!

☀️ There wasn’t a cloud in the sky.
👀 Keep going back and looking.
☁️ Don’t despise the size of the sign.
🌧️ A little cloud can carry a lot of rain.
🙌 Get ready—the rain is coming!

Just because you can’t see the answer yet doesn’t mean God hasn’t already released it!

The drought is not the end. THE RAIN IS COMING! 🔥🌧️
