This week we taught kids that they can trust like Jesus. In Matthew 6, Jesus told people not to worry but to remember how God provides for His creation. God loves and cares for us more than the birds in the sky or the flowers in the fields. God loves us so much; He sent Jesus for us. Take a walk and enjoy creation, celebrating what God has made and how we can trust the Creator of everything to take care of us.

Here is an activity that you can try at home to reinforce the lesson at home.

Family Fun Caption—Trust Drawing:

1. Gather some paper and pencils, then pair family members together.

2. One will be the “artist” and the other will be the “guide.” The artists will close their eyes and try to draw something (like a house or bicycle) based only on the guides’ verbal instructions.

3. Switch roles and play again.

4. Share that, like the artist trusted the guide, we can trust God like Jesus did.

What an incredible summer it has been! We have been blessed with so many wonderful memories through Super Summer Kid's Camp and Vacation Bible School. From learning about God's love to building friendships and having fun together, it has been amazing to see our children grow in their faith and experience the joy of being part of our church family here at Crestview Baptist Church.

As a new school year begins, we are praying for every student, teacher, and family. We pray that each child has a great first day of school and a year filled with learning, growth, and God's blessings.

We are thankful for all God has done this summer, and we are excited to see what He has planned next. We look forward to all that is ahead and to continuing to watch God work in the lives of our children and families.

Check out this video from Super Summer Kid's Camp!

This Month our Theme, is NEXT UP! Come on down for our game show where we will teach kids the Simple Truth, “I Am Designed for a Purpose.” Kids will learn that part of God’s purpose is to live like Jesus, serve like Jesus, trust like Jesus, and love like Jesus.

This week we learned in the book of Matthew that we are called to choose kindness and care about people, even when we do not think they deserve it. God made us to help others because we love Him, not because we want their praise. Kids learned that Jesus is the greatest example of serving because He came to serve us. Take time this week to pray with your kids for opportunities to serve like Jesus as they start back to school for the new year.

This month, kids will discover the powerful truth that we are broken people who live in a broken world. However, there is hope because God sent His only Son, Jesus, so we can be forgiven and have a relationship with Him. Jesus rescues us, which is why we have the Theme SOS. It’s going to be an incredible July filled with hope, encouragement, and reminders that God loves us and provides a way for us to experience His hope, compassion, and forgiveness each and every day.

We hope to see you this Sunday as we launch our new theme for July!

In Jeremiah 29:1-14, God told His people that they should live their lives to the fullest, even while they were living in another country. Living well would make a difference in their lives and the lives of those around them.

Kids learned that God made us to enjoy life and follow Him wherever we are because where we live matters to God. Talk with your kids about different homes around the world. While there are many different homes in different places, we can know that where we live matters to God.

This June we are excited to teach kids that they are uniquely designed by God with the Theme Priceless. Kids will learn that God designed them for a purpose and has a special plan for their lives. They will also hear that their names matter to God, their lives matter to God, where they live matters to God, and that they matter to God. When it comes to God, we are priceless!

We can't wait to share this wonderful message with our kids please come visit us and don't forget to bring a friend!

We taught kids this week that sharing Jesus is worth it. In Matthew 13:1-23, Jesus told a story about a farmer who sowed seed on different types of soil. While not all the seed grew, it was worth it for the seed that grew and multiplied. In a similar way, when we share Jesus, we do not know if people will listen and believe. As a family, pray for someone—asking God to help that person trust in Him and asking God to give you opportunities to share Jesus.

Kids learned this week that sharing Jesus is God’s plan. Invite your kids to tell you their plans for a day. Talk about how part of our plan can be to share Jesus because that is God’s plan.
