Key Peninsula Lutheran Church

Key Peninsula Lutheran Church We are committed to sharing God's Word and promoting spiritual growth in our community.

Bound together by basic Christian faith and a firm belief in the teachings of
Jesus, the church membership is more like a family than a congregation. Although the membership has diverse interests and backgrounds, we are all committed to serving the community and improving the lives of families on the peninsula.

Heavenly Father,
We come before You today as a community with hearts full of gratitude, eager to praise You for the wonderful answers to prayer we are witnessing.
Thank You, Lord, for bringing Jason home. We rejoice that he is continuing to improve every single day. As he faces an upcoming doctor’s appointment to check on his leg—having been a bit too eager to get moving and trying to walk a little too soon—we smile knowing that, compared to what he has been through, this is a piece of cake. We thank You for the deep sense of gratitude in his heart, and the hearts of Shantell and the kids, for the overwhelming support and prayers of this community. Though they don't need any tangible assistance right now, we ask that You continue to surround the entire family with Your peace and strength as Jason's healing journey continues.
We also lift up a collective shout of thanksgiving for Your watchcare over Jill. Thank You for being with her during her hospital stay and for bringing her safely home to recover.
Lord, as we celebrate these moments of grace, we also bring our immediate and urgent needs to Your throne. We ask that You watch over Anitta during her back surgery today. Guide the hands of her medical team, ease any anxiety, and grant her a smooth and successful procedure. We also lift up Jack for his upcoming surgeries, praying for successful outcomes, strength for his body, and peace for his mind as he prepares.
Finally, Father, we wrap our hearts around anyone else in our community and beyond who is quietly suffering today. For those dealing with sudden accidents, managing chronic pain, or fighting illness, we pray for Your comforting presence to overshadow them. Remind them that they are never alone, and let them feel Your healing touch and the love of a community standing firmly beside them.
In Your holy and loving name we pray,
Amen.

Heavenly Father,
As we stand at the threshold of this brand-new week, we pause to catch our breath and lift our eyes to You. Thank You for the gift of a clean slate, for the breath in our lungs, and for the life You have so generously woven around us.
Lord, forgive us for the times we treat this life as a checklist to complete rather than a sacred gift to experience. Remind us this week to slow down and truly enjoy the journey. Open our eyes to the beauty in the ordinary—the quiet mornings, the shared laughter, the steady rhythm of our days. Help us to find deep joy in the unfolding process of who You are shaping us to be, rather than just rushing toward the next destination.
We ask that You expand our hearts for the people we will encounter over the next seven days. Give us the grace to show intentional kindness to those in need. When we are tempted to judge, to measure out our mercy, or to withhold our grace because we feel someone "doesn't deserve it," nudge our spirits with a powerful reminder: none of us deserve the boundless grace You pour out on us every single morning. Help us to be conduits of that same unmerited favor, loving others not based on their worthiness, but based on Your infinite love.
Above all, Lord, use every moment of this upcoming week to draw us closer in our relationship with You. In our busy moments, be our anchor. In our quiet moments, be our whisper. May our thoughts, our words, and our hidden actions be a continuous conversation with You, deepening our trust and aligning our hearts with Your perfect will.
We step into this week with open hands and confident spirits, knowing You are already there.
In Your holy name, we pray.
Amen.
