Summer Reset: Week 1
We all move fast. We fill the silence, rush the in-between moments, and often carry more than we were meant to hold. But what if growth with Jesus didn’t start with doing more, but with learning to slow down?
This week, we begin with a simple but disruptive invitation from Psalm 46:10 (NIV):
“Be still, and know that I am God…”
This disruption is a gift.
Stillness in Scripture isn’t just stopping activity. It’s releasing control, quieting the inner noise, and choosing to trust that God is who He says he is, and is in complete sovereign control, even when life feels unsteady or full.
This week’s challenge is simple but intentional:
Set aside one moment each day to slow down before God. Put away distractions. Sit in silence. Pray honestly. Notice what rises in you when you’re not rushing.
And as you do, ask Him to show you where you’ve been holding onto control instead of resting in His presence.
Let’s learn to be still, not just externally, but inwardly, so we can actually notice God in the middle of our days.
He is already here.
