We are excited to have voted Bro. Tom in as our new Administrative Pastor. God has shown Himself faithful to the Plemmons family, and to our church. We are excited to see what God has in store for us as we serve Him together as Lake Worth Baptist Church.
Keep reading to see how that faithfulness has shown up throughout his life; from a quiet bedroom in Germany to answering the call to ministry.

"I was 10 years old, living in Germany, where my dad was a missionary, when the Holy Spirit finally got my attention. Growing up in a preacher's home, I knew what sin was and that if I died unforgiven, I would face a Christless eternity; it was keeping me awake at night.
My mom walked me through the Gospel — all have sinned, Christ died for our sins, we place our trust in Him. I know that's the moment I was saved — the moment my heart placed its faith in Christ alone.
I first surrendered to preach at 12 years old, but a couple of years later, I decided I didn't want that life — I wanted money, not a preacher's uncertain paycheck. That became the focus of my adult years: married, two kids, chasing success and self.
In 2010, God got hold of my family through some hard circumstances, and my wife Kristal and I rededicated our lives and started attending church again. Every time God
asked us to step up — Sunday school, then years leading youth ministry after we moved to Texas in 2012; we just said yes, even when we didn't feel ready. He kept
equipping us anyway.
In April 2016, God let me lose my job. That summer, with my excuses gone, I finally surrendered to full-time ministry.
Since then, door after door has opened. Every step, when we simply said yes, He faithfully equipped us. Most recently, our pastor called to ask if I'd consider serving as Assistant Pastor. My wife's response summed it up: "Can you even say no?"
We keep giving God our yes. He keeps proving faithful."
