This Friday October 16th at 7pm you are invited to the free Church premier of the “Cell Dreamers” documentary at 7 pm at Proclaim Church.
Cell Dreamer the documentary is a powerful story of hope, redemption, and second chances, rooted in the belief that no young life is beyond restoration. Filmed inside W.W. Moore Detention Center in Virginia, the documentary looks beyond the choices of three justice- involved youth and asks a question we too often overlook:
What happened to them first?
Cell Dreamer is an intimate and inspiring documentary that offers unprecedented access to the lives of incarcerated youth as they navigate the difficult path toward self-discovery, accountability, and personal transformation.
Through raw, emotional storytelling, the series reveals the realities of life behind prison walls while exploring the hopes, fears, and dreams of three young people determined to change the course of their lives.
Cell Dreamer is not simply a story about youth incarceration, it is a story about hope, courage, awareness, and the transformative power of believing in oneself.
Cell Dreamer asks us to look deeper than the cell. Before the charges. Before the mistakes. Before the system became part of their story what happened to the child?
The film does not ask us to excuse their choices. It asks us
to see the whole person to recognize that accountability
and compassion can exist together, and that the darkest chapter of a young person’s life does not have to become the rest of their story.
And perhaps that is Cell Dreamer’s greatest message:
When someone believes there is still more to your story, it can give you the courage to begin writing a different ending
