💚H.O.P.E. Kids Wednesday Night Recap! 🩵
We had such a great night with our H.O.P.E. Kids learning an important lesson: You can’t take it back—WORDS MATTER! 🗣️🧡
📖 “Do not let any unwholesome talk come out of your mouths, but only what is helpful for building others up…” Ephesians 4:29
For our activity, each child started with a smooth paper heart. 💛 As we talked about unkind and hurtful things we sometimes say, we crinkled the heart up. Then we tried to smooth it back out…and discovered that the wrinkles were still there.
Just like that heart, hurtful words can leave a mark. 💔
Then came the Band-Aids! 🩹💙 We talked about how, when we hurt someone with our words, we can’t take those words back—but we CAN ask for forgiveness, apologize, and try to make things right. We covered our hearts with Band-Aids and kind words like “You are loved,” “You matter,” “I believe in you,” “I forgive you,” and most importantly, “God loves you!” 🩷
Our H.O.P.E. Kids learned that our words have power, so we should use them to encourage, love, help, and build one another up! 🙌
