Northwest Louisiana Area
As the winter weather approaches the Northwest Louisiana area, it is crucial to stay alert and prepared for road closures, traffic congestion, and icy conditions.
Troopers are urging motorists to refrain from using the roadways during this winter weather event. However, if you find it absolutely necessary to travel, we strongly advise you to exercise utmost caution, strictly adhere to all traffic laws, eliminate any distractions, and most importantly, reduce your speed significantly.

The closure of I-49 urban and I-49 to the Arkansas state line in Caddo Parish is underway due to winter weather conditions. Please be aware of crews and equipment that will be out on the roadway.
