Gratitude & Grace: A Chronic Illness Peer Circle will debue via Zoom Monday (September 7th) from noon-1 p.m. as a gathering for people navigating chronic illness. The Lake Pleasant Recovery Dharma group meets every Tuesday from 11 a.m.-noon at TNSA. That date this week is September 8th. This is a pay-from-the-heart event based on peer-led Buddhist principles.
The TNSA Development Committee will meet in-person and virtually via Zoom Wednesday, September 9th from 11 a.m.-12:30 p.m. to finalize plans for Camp Weekend scheduled September 18th-20th. For more details on the schedule refer to the TNSA website.
The Lake Pleasant AA Group meets at TNSA every Wednesday from 6:30-7:30 p.m. That date this week is September 9th and is a pay-from-the-heart event.
The Lake Pleasant Tea & Crumpet Society gathers at TNSA the 2nd Tuesday of the month (September 10th) from 6:30-8:30 p.m. for Montague area writers to read their writings or the writings of favorite authors.
Drop-In Fridays are conducted weekly at TNSA from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. for visitors to learn about TNSA or discuss spiritual topics. That date this week is September 11th.
A public program and discussion will be hosted at TNSA on Saturday, September 12th from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. concerning Massachusetts forest fire practices and regulations followed by a walking tour of the Montague Plains conducted by program speakers. Reference TNSA website for more details.
Also Saturday an Evening Service Concert from 5-7 p.m. will be presented at TNSA featuring avant garde music by Elaheh Roya and Olivia Kennett and curated by Turners Falls musician Beverly Ketch.
Paige Lussier Johnson of New Hampshire will be speaker and medium at Sunday services, September 13th, from 1-2:30 p.m. Paige is a Spiritualist, Interfaith Pastoral Counselor, life coach, psychic medium and multidimensional healer including Reiki Master Teacher, and was a licentiate minister and vice president of Life Path until that organization closed in 2023.
TNSA’s in-person and via Zoom Board of Directors monthly meeting has been rescheduled from Saturday (September 12th) to Sunday (September 13th) from 3-4:30 p.m..
Also next Sunday from 5-7 p.m. the Lake Pleasant Village Association will conduct a pot-luck dinner and business meeting at Rutter Park if dry weather and at TNSA’s Thompson Temple if it is raining.
TNSA’s September’s Psychic Medium Fair and the Grand Finale of the Pond Lily Project will be Saturday, September 26th at the Shea Theater Performing Arts Center on Avenue A in Turners Falls. Psychic Fair hours are 11 a.m.-4 p.m., followed by readings from Spirit and Spa, a portrait of Spiritualism in Lake Pleasant since 1874 and a TNSA medium delivering short messages in separate presentations from 4-6, then to be followed by Songwriters in the Round from 7-10 featuring 8 participating local musician-mentors. This September marks 113 years since TNSA was founded in 1913 by G. Tabor Thompson and Almira Wheeler Thompson here in Lake Pleasant. We’re celebrating with a full month of spiritual exploration, community, music, history, healing, and connection.

Songwriter Development Circle — an in-person Pond Lily Project event — will also be conducted August 25th from 4-5:30 p.m. at TNSA hosted by professional musician Luke DeRoy. Suggested donation: $5-$15.
The Lake Pleasant AA Group meets at TNSA every Wednesday from 6:30-7:30 p.m. That date this week is August 26th and is a pay-from-the-heart event.
Drop-In Fridays are conducted weekly at TNSA from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. for visitors to learn about TNSA and/or discuss spiritual topics. That date this week is August 28th.
TNSA’s Psychic-Medium Fair is always the final Saturday of each month from 11 a.m.-4 p.m. The next in-person and virtual fair via Zoom is Saturday, August 29th. Readings and Reiki healings cost $30 for 25 minutes. Preregistration can be done via TNSA’s website.
Alicia Parrish of New Hampshire and TNSA past President-emeritus will be the speaker and medium next Sunday (August 30th) from 1-2:30 p.m.
Camp Weekend — scheduled September 18th-20th — is a 3-day throwback to Lake Pleasant’s Spiritualist “Glory Days” and will offer multiple workshops for beginners as well as for Spiritual veterans — such as “how to” and historical heritage workshops and presentations, evidentiary and psychic readings, Reiki healings and multiple music events as well as snack food and sit-down meals.
The Pond Lily Project will culminate in a final Songwriter-in-the-Round concert — September 26th from 7-10 p.m. — featuring all 8 musician-participants in the Pond Lily Project Artist in Residence Program live at the Shea Theater Performing Arts Center on Avenue A, in Turners Falls. That concert will follow The National Spiritual Alliance Psychic-Medium Fair from 11 a.m.-4 p.m. — also at the Shea — and a series of Lake Pleasant Spiritualist historical and psychic-medium — oriented presentations and events from 4-7.
