“We did not seek this predicament, but God calls us to place the most vulnerable and marginalized at the center of our common life, and we must follow that command regardless of the dictates of any political party or earthly power. We are now being faced with a series of choices between the demands of the federal government and the teachings of Jesus, and that is no choice at all.

This is not the same kind of patriotism that has guided our church since its founding in 1785, but this July Fourth, it may be the most faithful service we can render — both to the country we love and the God we serve.”

[Episcopal News Service] In an opinion piece originally published July 3 in Religion News Service, Presiding Bishop Sean Rowe reflected on The Episcopal Church’s history as it has emerged as an ins…

HOLY WEEK & EASTER SERVICES AT ST. EUSTACE

We look forward to sharing these special services with you and your family!

PALM SUNDAY SERVICE (Sunday, April 13 at 8:00AM and 10:00AM)
Both services will begin with a gathering in the parish hall for the blessing of the palms and procession into the sanctuary. The procession at 8:00AM will be in silence. The procession at 10:00AM will include the singing of "All glory, laud, and honor" upon entering the sanctuary. Palms, bulletins, and Passion Gospel booklets will be distributed at the beginning of the service in the parish hall.

MAUNDY THURSDAY SERVICE (Thursday, April 17 at 7:00PM)
In lieu of the ceremony of the washing of feet, all will be invited to participate in the anointing of hands. The anointing and blessing of our hands is a reminder of all those ways in which we use our hands to serve others, thereby sharing in the example given to us by our Lord. The service will conclude with the customary stripping of the altar.

GOOD FRIDAY SERVICE (Friday, April 18 at Noon)
This service will include the reading of the Passion Gospel and the Solemn Collects. Holy Communion will not be included as a part of the service.

EASTER SUNDAY SERVICE (Sunday, April 20 at 8:00AM and 10:00AM)
We will gather in the sanctuary to celebrate Christ's resurrection, the return of Alleluia, and this year, baptisms! Please consider arriving early if you are planning to attend the 10:00AM service.
