What if the very place you come to worship is the place you're sinning most?

This week we explored a challenging truth from Amos 4:4 - that we can go through all the motions of worship while our hearts remain far from God. We can sing "I Surrender All" without surrendering anything. We can declare "I Love to Tell the Story" yet never share our faith. We can add Christ to our lives without subtracting sin.

The question isn't whether you attend church - it's whether you come with an unforgiving spirit, a critical heart, or worship that's more about you than Him. God searches our hearts (Jeremiah 17:10). He sees beyond our Sunday best to the bitterness, envy, and pride we're hiding.

Are you a sinner who struggles to love God, or a lover of God who struggles with sin? There's a profound difference. This Sunday, let's come with clean hearts and pure worship - the kind God actually receives.

What does a messy barn have to do with church? Everything.

This Sunday we explored Proverbs 14:4 - "Where no oxen are, the trough is clean, but much increase comes by the strength of an ox." A clean, empty barn looks nice, but it's useless. A productive barn? It gets messy. The same is true for the church.

Jesus wasn't born in a palace - He came to us in a dirty, stinking barn because that's where He knew He'd find us. In our mess. In our brokenness. And He didn't come to admire us from a distance - He came to pick us up, clean us up, and walk with us.

Church isn't meant to be a museum for perfect people. It's a rescue station for messy people who need a Savior. We're all the ox sometimes - needing grace, accountability, protection, and love. That's the beauty of the gospel at work.

Come as you are. Jesus meets us in the barn.

You can speak with the eloquence of angels. You can have faith to move mountains. You can give away everything you own. But without love? It means nothing.

This Sunday we explored 1 Corinthians 13 and discovered that love isn't just a nice addition to ministry—it's the essence of everything we do. The world doesn't need to hear our anger or see our perfect doctrine. They need to feel our love. Because when people know we love them, they'll finally be able to hear that God loves them too.

We celebrated Steve's baptism in the lake and honored the legacy of reaching beyond our church walls to love the hurting and forgotten. This month, we're not just giving money—we're giving ourselves. We're being the hands and feet of Jesus to a world that's desperate to know they matter.

The world can argue with your theology, but they can't argue with your love.

This Memorial Day weekend, we pause to remember—not just the brave men and women who sacrificed for our freedom, but the ultimate sacrifice that changed everything.

Paul reminds us in Ephesians 2 to remember where we once were: broken, separated, without hope. We were strangers to God's promises, alienated and lost. But then comes the most powerful word in Scripture—"BUT." But now in Christ Jesus, you who once were far off have been brought near by the blood of Christ.

We weren't brought near because we were worthy or almost made it on our own. We were far off, and He reached down through the precious blood of Jesus to draw us close. Today is a day to remember your brokenness, remember the moment you were brought near, and remember the blood that made it all possible. If you've never experienced that moment, today can be your day of salvation.

Do this in remembrance of Him.

What if the most valuable thing you could pursue isn't found in any classroom or career, but in knowing God? This Sunday, we celebrated our graduates and explored how true wisdom begins with fearing the Lord (Proverbs 1:7).

Just like the Koh-i-Noor diamond worth $10 billion adorns England's crown, wisdom from God is infinitely more precious. The world offers knowledge, but only God offers understanding that transforms your life. Whether you're a graduate stepping into your future or anyone seeking direction, remember: if you lack wisdom, simply ask God who gives generously to all (James 1:5).

Your journey starts today. What adventure is God calling you to? The pursuit of knowing Him is the greatest education you'll ever receive. Come discover wisdom that leads to eternal rewards, not temporary achievements.

What a powerful Mother's Day message! This Sunday we celebrated the incredible faith and perseverance of mothers through the story of the Shunammite woman in 2 Kings 4. This "notable woman" showed us what it means to trust God even in our darkest moments.

When her miracle son suddenly died, she didn't panic or despair. Instead, she declared "It is well" and ran to the man of God. Her unwavering faith brought about an incredible miracle—her son was raised back to life! Moms, your story of faith is being written right now, and it's being read by your children and grandchildren.

No matter what challenges you're facing today, don't give up. Don't stop praying. God is still in the miracle business! Your faith—even just the size of a mustard seed—is enough when you place it in the hands of an almighty God. Keep trusting, keep believing, and keep declaring "It is well."
