Holiday Greetings and Merry Christmas from the Howarth United Methodist Church
As we enter the Advent and Christmas season, it is with great joy that I extend a heartfelt invitation to you to join us at Howarth United Methodist Church. Whether you’ve been part of our church family for years or are simply seeking a place of peace and connection this holiday season, we welcome you with open arms.
At Howarth UMC, we pride ourselves on creating a warm, inviting, and relaxed atmosphere where all are welcome, regardless of background or where you are on your faith journey. This season, we are especially excited to share the beauty and meaning of Advent with you. Each Sunday, we gather to light the Advent candles together, symbolizing the growing light of Christ as we await His birth. It is a simple yet profound tradition that sets the tone for our hearts and minds during this sacred time.
Our church is beautifully decorated for Christmas, and the spirit of the season fills every corner. We hope you will come and experience the warmth of our community, as we celebrate the true meaning of Christmas—God’s greatest gift of love in the birth of Jesus Christ.
On Christmas Eve, we will hold our Candlelight Service at 6:30 pm, a cherished tradition for our congregation. It is a peaceful and reflective time when we come together to sing the timeless hymn, "Silent Night," by candlelight, and to celebrate the birth of Christ with joy, peace, and reverence.
We would be honored to have you join us for worship throughout Advent, and especially on Christmas Eve. There is no better time to connect with others, reflect on the gift of Christ, and experience the warmth of a community that truly cares. We invite you to come as you are—whether you are seeking a place to worship, a community to belong to, or simply a welcoming space to reflect during the holiday season.
On behalf of the entire congregation, I offer you a warm welcome. May this Advent season be a time of hope, peace, and joy for you and your loved ones. We look forward to celebrating the gift of Christmas together with you.
Blessings,
Pastor Marv Herman
