Words of wisdom... from Dr Seuss... Mark Cravens, you may not remember this, but 20 years ago this month you came to Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center by personal request of my good friend and colleague Dr Kenneth Farmer to have special prayer with my son Trevor Linick who at age 2 years, 10 months was going into surgery to have a huge purple hemangioma (blood vessel tumor) removed from the bridge of his nose! The surgery to extract was successful, and when we took him back a couple of months later to have his stitches removed, by then little 3-year-old Trevor Matthew Linick asked if he could thank the surgeon, Dr Ravi Elluru, a Hindu specialist in vascular malformations. Nothing could have prepared us for what took place next. Trevor did not thank the doctor. He just bowed his head and prayed, "Dear Jesus, thank you for helping DOCTOR EYYOO to take the bump off of my nose. I love you, Jesus. Amen."
Not a dry eye in that huge medical facility as some had heard his prayer and word spread so quickly. As Trevor walked out that day, he had no idea how many hearts he had touched with a simple prayer from HIS heart. Even the good doctor who knew I was a pastor in West Virginia where Trevor had been born (the first baby to live in that parsonage of Jackson Avenue Church of God (Holiness), a church that was established in 1911 and had been the host church for IHC way back before it was ever held in Dayton or Gatlinburg, a church that had a record attendance of 512 for Sunday School on an Easter Sunday back in the 1960s) in Huntington WV was visibly moved. I have kept in touch with Dr Ravi Elluru and reached out to him on special milestone birthdays of Trevor. He has treated hundreds of thousands of children over these many years, but he will NEVER forget Trevor!
Love. Forgive. How many times? 7 times?
No... to Infinity... and BEYOND! That's the Disney Toy Story/TPL version of Matthew 18! ❤️🙏🏽🤗💒
