Your Mind Matters
May 10, 2026 Passage: Matthew 6:25-30 Pastor Ben Ridder
As once again we are before the Great Physician, this morning we investigate further the prescription He gives us for our anxiousness and worrying. Who would imagine that words like “look” and “see” and “consider” and “think” would have so much spiritual significance behind them? Maybe it’s time for the church to come back to the age-old spiritual discipline of meditation. Just a few of the musings before us this morning as we continue in our series on what to do in the middle of anxiety and worry.

The Discipline of Christian Thinking
May 3, 2026 Passage: Matthew 6:25-30 Pastor Ben Ridder
This morning we continue under the care of our Great Physician as He treats us for the maladies of worry and anxiety. Having shown us possible causes for these afflictions and placing a prohibition on them both, He goes on to prescribe the cure: believing God. Not believing IN God, but believing God. If we believe that God is a God of lavish love towards His children, if we believe that God is sovereign over all things, why would we struggle with any anxiety? Let’s continue to put ourselves under His scrutiny and care!

Scripture: Matthew 6:19-25, 30
This morning as we continue to watch the Great Physician at work in diagnosing the causes of anxiety and worry, we are confronted with three more questions. As we place ourselves before HIM, let’s answer them honestly on the way toward knowing the peace of God that passes all understanding.

Do Not Worry
April 19, 2026 Passage: Matthew 6:19-25a Pastor Ben Ridder
This morning we begin a bit of a series about worry and anxiety. We live in a day and age when there are plenty of reasons to be concerned, both about the present and the future. On top of that, so many trials and uncertainties plaguing our private individual lives. Jesus addresses our worrisome ways by telling us first that to worry is to sin. Let’s place our souls in the hands of the Great Physician and let Him do His healing work.
