Friend, rest is not a reward for getting everything done. It’s a gift from God and a reminder that we were never meant to carry everything ourselves.
For those of us who love our to-do lists, productivity can easily become a source of identity, worth, and security. But Sabbath reminds us that we don’t have to accomplish anything to be okay. God doesn’t need us. And our salvation doesn’t come through our striving—it comes through resting in Christ.
