VBS 2026: Emerald Crossing
We're excited to announce that VBS is just around the corner!
Emerald Crossing VBS 2026 invites children into a vibrant world of faith discovery, where God’s wisdom lights every path. Through engaging Bible lessons, hands-on activities, and memorable worship moments, kids learn to trust the Lord as their true guide. This adventure equips children to follow God with confidence at every crossroads.

In a world filled with worry and confusion, kids need to know there is a God who cares for them. At Emerald Crossing VBS, they’ll journey through Ireland’s lush landscapes, exploring the powerful words of Psalm 23. They’ll discover the life of the shepherd-king David and will learn how to cross from anxiety to peace, from fear to faith, and from uncertainty to a firm foundation in God’s Word through a relationship with the Good Shepherd.

Thursday Off Campus Prayer Gathering:
Dave & Marion Coles host a Prayer Group Gathering in their home every Thursday at 1:30pm (EXCEPT for the first Thursday of each month- Soup Kitchen Day).

What a sweet moment tonight. Our church family prayed over Anton, his trip to South Sudan, Glory Baptist Church and her families as well as the students starting at Glory Baptist Bible College this coming Monday. There is nothing more precious than crying out in prayer before the Lord with your church!
We trust that the Lord will go ahead of him at every turn. Until the whole world hears…..

Wednesday South Sudan building Update.
Please pray for good weather in Juba tomorrow, so that they can pour the concrete slab. (Its their rain season).
Please pray for me as fly in the morning to go teach in Juba.

LLBC volunteers at the New Beginnings Soup Kitchen: Thursday JUNE 4th
LLBC volunteers at the New Beginnings Soup Kitchen at Green River Baptist Association on the first Thursday of every month (JUNE 4) . This entails the preparation of food, packaging of meals and managing the distribution. In addition to meeting physical needs, we also provide 14 x 1 pound cakes for dessert.
A total of approx. 400-500 meals are served each Thursday.
Each recipient is also prayed with, so this is a great opportunity to feed a physical need and meet a spiritual need.
We need you to help volunteer and provide the needed pound cakes.
Available Shifts:
Morning: 8am-12pm
Afternoon: 1:30pm-6pm

South Sudan Partnership Update
I can't believe that we have only been working on this partnership for 9 months! So much has happened in such a short time. It all began with the building of a toilet building and dreaming about building a school and establishing a Bible College.
Since then, the toilet building is complete, the first floor of the school and college building is at roof height, we've built a meeting room on top of the new bathroom facility that we provided, and are now asking the Lord to privude the funds for the next floor of the school and Bibke College.

In addition to the buildings, Lilani and I went on a mission trip in February, where we trained many church leaders and spoke at schools and did church conferences. God blessed with 64 salvations and many more were equipped to be more effective in life and ministry in the kingdom of God. During this trip we registered the newly established “Glory Baptist Bible College,” with the South Sudanese government. They have given permission for us to launch classes, however we are yet to obtain full accreditation from the South Sudan Department of Higher education. Please pray as we work through this lengthy and expensive process.

In addition to the buildings and the college, God has allowed us to formalize partnerships with Crossway Book Publishers, Imprint ministries, 9Marks Ministries and Desiring God Ministries. These ministries have helped to provide books for pastors/church leaders and Bibles.
We have also entered into a partnership with a ministry based in the UK, Equipping Pastors Worldwide”. EPW is devoted to providing resources to the under-resourced churches in the majority world. In addition to providing theological books, they have a 6 module training curriculum that they offer for grassroots pastors. On June 1. 2026 we will launch the first module of their training and incorporate it into Glory Baptist Bible College’s training for the grassroots pastors. This will be a historic day in the life of Glory Baptist Bible College, Juba, South Sudan! This will be a historic day in the life of Lake Lure Baptist Church!
It is amazing to see all that God has done in such a short time. It is a blessing to walk in faith and see God’s miraculous work around us. Lest we forget that with God nothing is impossible! Let's continue to seek His Kingdom and His righteousness, and ask boldly for His glory. He has, and will continue to provide!
